Caleb Delly brought home the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the top of the sixth to lift the Blue Jays to their fourth consecutive win. Jack Zawacki drew a five-pitch walk and stole second to set up Delly for the eventual game winner. Matthew Bradley (3-1) struck out four batters and did not allow a hit over two innings of relief work to earn his second straight win. Bradley has allowed one run on four hits over his last six appearances. The right-hander has struck out 28 during that recent stretch of 14.2 innings. Gavin Moore plated a pair of runs with a triple to highlight a five-run second as the Blue Jays erased an early deficit. Trailing 2-0, Owen Murphy followed back-to-back walks with an RBI-single to bring in Jorge Oropeza III. Danny Melendez scored when Cooper Hassall reached on a two-out error. Murphy moved to third and scored off a wild pitch before Moore brought home Hassall and Delly to cap the frame. Oropeza went 2-for-2 in the game. For the Cardinals, Josh VanBramer (1-3) hurled a complete game and struck out a season-high 12 batters. The southpaw allowed two runs on six hits. VanBramer leads the ICBL with 46 strikeouts. All five runs of the Cardinals’ runs came in the first three innings. Sean Flannery and Victor Alongi connected for RBI-singles in the bottom of the first to start off the scoring. Tim McClare and DJ Stoianovich went for back-to-back base hits in the second to plate Christian Blatter and Trevor Zewan. Carlos Fantauzzi moved into scoring position in the third with a single and a stolen base before scoring via a Walker Wright RBI-single that tied the score at 5-5. The Jays are now 6-0 versus the Cardinals. The teams will complete their four-game series on Thursday.

The Monarchs put crooked numbers on the board in two separate innings to pull ahead of the Ducks for their fourth straight win. Nick Nealon collected an RBI and two runs scored on one hit to pace the Monarchs offense. Leading 2-1, Nealon started the fourth with a single. Trevor Gineau walked and Anthony Anazalone reached on an error before Dan Tirabassi took advantage of another fielding miscue to bring in two runs. Gienau and Anazalone added to the run total in the fifth with an RBI apiece. Gienau’s ground ball brought home Dan Hooper, and Anazalone singled to plate Nealon for a commanding 7-1 advantage. Jourdan Plaisted led the first with a triple and eventually scored on a Nealon RBI groundout. Jacob Parker and Devin Cannon both went 2-for-3. Cannon drove in Paul Amuso with a single in the third. Troy Liebert (3-1) started and struck out three over four innings to pick up the win. The right-hander allowed one run on four hits. The Monarchs took advantage of five errors in all. For the Ducks, Jason Story finished 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the sixth. Alan Michael LeFrois scored on the play. Mateo Santos had an RBI-single in the second. Shane Pray singled and scored. Aidan Coykendall, Matthew Mady and Zach Mock collected a hit apiece. Nick Francesci (3-3) struck out six batters over six innings. The Monarchs are now 5-1 when facing the Ducks. The teams will complete their four-game series on Thursday.
