CARDINALS (4-7) 4
DUCKS (4-6) 6
Alan Michael LeFrois and Zachary Mock connected on back-to-back RBI singles in a three-run fifth, as the Ducks take the final game of the three game series versus the Cardinals. Following up two straight walks, LeFrois singled to score teammate Matthew Mady. Scoring on a wild pitch was Shane Pray. Mock’s single made the score 5-1, after LeFrois came home. Nick Francesci (2-1) struck out eight batters, and allowed one run, on five hits and seven walks over six innings of work. Pray knocked in Mateo Santos in the second, for the game’s first run, and Dylan Boprey flew into a sacrifice in the sixth to secure a five-run lead. The Cardinals rallied with one out in the top of the seventh for four straight hits in a three-run frame. Victor Alongi had a two-run single, which was followed up by an RBI single off the bat of Carlos Fantauzzi. The Ducks have taken two of six meetings versus the Cardinals.

BLUE JAYS (7-3) 2
MONARCHS (6-5) 1
Drew Delaney (2-0) struck out a season-high 10 batters, and allowed six hits and no earned runs in a complete-game effort, leading the Blue Jays to their sixth straight win and third consecutive over the Monarchs. Delaney faced the minimum in four separate innings and did not allow a runner past second through the first four innings. Gavin Moore singled in the top of the third to score teammate Jim Marasco, who led off the two-run inning with a hit. Henry Juan flied out to right field on a sacrifice, making the score 2-0. Monarchs’ Jacob Parker singled with two outs in the bottom of the fifth, to score Jacob Soricone for the team’s only run.  The Blue Jays hold a 4-2 record against the Monarchs.
