Rochester continued its struggles against the St. Paul Saints as the Red Wings lost their fourth straight game, 6-4.
Rochester lost its fourth straight game for the first time this season.
St. Paul broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth inning after Alex Kirilloff hit a ground-rule double to score John Andreoli and Elliot Soto. Andreoli walked earlier in the inning and Soto hit a line-drive single.
Rochester opened up the scoring in the game in the first inning when Andrew Stevenson hit his fourth home run of the season. Jake Noll scored Ildemaro Vargas after both men recorded a double to give Rochester a 2-0 lead. St. Paul answered in the second inning with a Jose Godoy two-run home run to tie it at two.

Rochester’s Josh Palacios and St. Paul’s Jermaine Palacious traded solo home runs in the third inning to make it 3-3. Donovan Casey put the Red Wings in front in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly after Adrian Sanchez hit a single to move Lucius Fox over to third base after he walked to lead off the inning. Cole Sturgeon doubled for the Saints to tie the game at four following a Jake Cave double and a Jermaine Palacios hit a single to move Cave to third.
Cade Cavalli started for the Red Wings and pitched five innings giving up four runs on six hits including two home runs. He also recorded five strikeouts and four walks. Francisco Perez came into relief for an inning giving up the decisive two runs and he was handed the loss.
Rochester will look to end its skid when the series continues Saturday with an 8:07 first pitch at St. Paul.
