Junior outfielder Lola Clarcq posted two hits and a pair of RBI as Pittsford Mendon rolled to its third win in the last four games. Lilly Hajec followed up with a trio of base knocks. Sophomore pitcher Lilly Goldberg retired the final 17 batters she faced.

Maia Gathercole commanded the mound with a complete game shutout on 76 pitches, including 53 strikes, to lead Honeoye Falls-Lima to its fourth straight win. After allowing a leadoff double in the second inning, the sophomore pitcher retired 11 consecutive batters and the last seven hitters she faced. Overall, Gathercole limited Greece Athena/Odyssey/Olympia to three baserunners via a double, error and walk. The sophomore pitcher added six strikeouts as well. Maddy Fowler paced the offense with three singles, including two to drive in a run, and two runs scored. Ellie Casler and Eva Mayo both followed up with a pair of singles, including one to score a run. Casler crossed the plate twice and Mayo once. Kate Dailor singled, tripled and scored twice. For Greece Athena/Odyssey/Olympia, Ally Rae Schumaker accounted for the team’s lone hit.

Marlayna Cartagena dominated on the mound and at the plate to lead Irondequoit to its ninth victory in the last 10 games. On the bump, the junior pitcher accumulated 12 strikeouts as part of a complete game effort in which she only allowed five hits. At the dish, Cartagena launched a home run and collected a pair of RBI. Freshman first baseman Abby Ras posted a double and run driven in.

PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (10-3) 16 (5 INNINGS)
Six different players (Riley Gonzalez, Petra Hunt, Tia Lehtonen, Gabby Lyons, Julianna Lyons and Gracie Murphy) recorded at least two base knocks as Pittsford Sutherland scored in every inning to snap a two-game skid via mercy rule. Gonzalez and Julianna Lyons both led with two hits and three RBI. Julianna Lyons did all her damage in the third and fourth innings with a RBI double and two-run single. Gonzalez hit a pair of RBI singles and drew a bases-loaded walk. Lehtonen and Murphy both added two RBI. Lehtonen hustled for a pair of run-scoring doubles. Murphy roped a two-run single in the fourth inning for a commanding 13-1 advantage. Hunt and Gabby Lyons both amassed three hits, including a RBI single. Hunt contributed on the mound as well with a complete game on 74 pitches. The seventh-grade pitcher settled down to retire seven of the last eight batters she faced after giving up a run in the third inning. Hunt found the strike zone on 60.8 percent of her offerings and only allowed three hits as well. For Spencerport, Emma Gionta led with two singles, including one to score the Rangers’ lone run.

Madison Hicks tossed a complete game shutout on 75 pitches, including 54 strikes, as Webster Thomas notched its seventh consecutive victory. This was the Titans’ second straight shutout as well. Hicks began her outing by retiring the first 11 batters she faced and capped it off by sending down nine of the final 11 opposing hitters. Overall, the sophomore pitcher limited Rush-Henrietta to three hits and an error and added three strikeouts. Senior first baseman Mary Marrapese led the offense with two singles, including one to score a run, and a sacrifice fly. Freshman catcher Emily Ford followed up with a RBI double, single and one run scored. Junior outfielder Anna Bello contributed with a pair of singles. For Rush-Henrietta, Elizabeth Gleghorn, Kadyn Hartel and Olivia Sheffer all collected a hit.

Megan Sanford hit a go-ahead, two-run double as part of a three-run sixth inning as Campbell-Savona rallied for its third straight win. After the Panthers started the frame with back-to-back singles, Sanford cashed in with the extra-base hit to left field. Junior outfielder Aurelia Nadjadi brought in Sanford with a double of her own for insurance. Jenna Machuga finished the job from there as she navigated around two singles to secure the complete game victory. Along with her go-ahead base knock, Sanford drew a walk. Catrice Taft singled as part of the sixth-inning rally and walked twice. Machuga went the distance on 92 pitches and threw 62 percent of them for strikes. After allowing a run in the opening frame, the freshman pitcher settled down to retire 13 of the next 15 batters she faced. For Avoca/Prattsburgh, Emma Carlton led with a pair of singles, including one to drive in a run.

Junior pitcher Kendall Phillips threw a no-hitter and fanned eight batters in Byron-Bergen’s third straight win.

Emma Years hurled a complete game shutout as Caledonia-Mumford rolled to its third straight win. The sophomore pitcher only allowed three hits and whiffed five batters. Junior second baseman Avery DeMarco led the offense with two hits and four RBI. Madison DeVore and Madison Wyskiel both collected a pair of base knocks and two RBI. DeVore doubled, tripled and crossed the plate four times. Senior catcher Montgomery Kessler paced the Raiders with three hits. Taylor Mills and Caroline Pies both added a pair of base knocks. For Perry, Keirsten Conroy accounted for two of the Yellowjackets’ three hits.

Ashlyn Wright led Bloomfield with her arm and bat as the Bombers tallied double-digit runs for the fifth time this season. On the mound, Wright went the distance, striking out 13 of the 25 batters she faced in a one-hitter. At the dish, the freshman pitcher recorded two hits, two RBI, a pair of runs scored and a walk. Sophomore first baseman Sofie Kachmaryk added two base knocks, including a triple, and a pair of RBI as well along with one run scored. Eighth-grade second baseman Emma Macartney doubled among her two hits and drove in a run. Brianna Leitten, Calla McCombs and Abby O’Brien all crossed the plate twice. For Harley-Allendale-Columbia, eighth-grade pitcher Cadence Brecker accounted for all the offense with a solo shot in the seventh inning.
