Miguel Matos hurled 12 strikeouts on the mound and recorded two hits at the dish to lead East High to another victory. After allowing back-to-back walks in the opening frame, the sophomore pitcher settled in and retired seven of the next nine batters he faced. Matos collected six consecutive outs via strikeout as well. Offensively, Matos singled twice, including one to score a run, and crossed the plate twice. Freshman first baseman Emille Diaz assisted Matos with a two-run single as part of a five-run second inning. Senior shortstop Victor Arroyo walked, swiped three bases and scored three runs. Luis Rivera added two runs scored. For School Of The Arts, Justin Rodriguez accounted for all of the offense with two singles, a stolen base and a run scored.
IRONDEQUOIT (3-3) 7
PITTSFORD MENDON (3-2) (8 INNINGS) 8
Freshman shortstop Colden Forney hit a walk-off single to lift Pittsford Mendon to its third straight win. It was Forney’s lone base knock of the contest as he drove in Brendan Kane, who walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Forney drew a walk as well. Kane and Daniel Palumbo ignited the offense from a 7-1 deficit with two hits and a pair of RBI apiece. Kane legged out a two-run triple while Palumbo hustled for a pair of infield RBI singles. Kane added two walks and a pair of runs scored as well. Palumbo sparked the Vikings with his pitching as well by retiring all 10 batters he faced in relief. Senior outfielder Cameron Blauvelt singled twice, including one which brought in Eric Krowl as part of a game-tying, four-run sixth inning and scored two runs. For Irondequoit, Connor Springer capped off a four-run third with a two-run single for a commanding 6-1 advantage. Connor Gresens drove in a run on a groundout and notched an RBI base knock. Leo Tellier recorded six strikeouts in four innings.
GATES-CHILI (5-3) 6
GREECE OLYMPIA/ODYSSEY (3-7) 2
James Connelly IV navigated around four walks and four hits to pitch five scoreless innings for Gates-Chili. Despite allowing baserunners in four of five frames, the junior pitcher worked out of three jams, including the bases loaded in the second with a groundout. Connelly capped off his outing with his sixth strikeout to strand runners on second and third to maintain a commanding 6-0 advantage. Connelly completed his start by hurling 58.6 percent of his 87 pitches for strikes. The junior pitcher helped his own cause with a sacrifice fly in the third to extend the lead to 3-0. Regan Clancy and Vincent Lucyszyn both collected an RBI hit. Lucyszyn ripped a double in the third to score Clancy. Clancy legged out an infield single in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. For Greece Olympia/Odyssey, Tyson Roundtree scored on a bases-loaded walk in the seventh to break the shutout and Nolan Krautwurst stole home. Krautwurst collected four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings of relief as well. Tommy Rebis fanned five batters in 3 2/3 frames.

Benjamin Comeau launched a grand slam as part of a nine-run third inning to cap off a five-RBI performance and lead Brighton’s offensive outburst. Comeau added a run-scoring double in the opening frame as he finished 3-of-3 at the dish. Andrew Cranston added three base knocks as well. Jackson Heider, Bryce Madison and Carter Sloan all pitched in a pair of hits. Senior pitcher Matthew Howe accumulated 11 strikeouts in six innings.
RUSH-HENRIETTA 4

Tobey Wright commanded the mound with seven strikeouts in five frames of one-run ball in Rush-Henrietta’s second win in the last three games. After allowing three singles in the first two innings, the senior pitcher settled down and retired seven of the next eight hitters he faced. Four of Wright’s first five outs were strikeouts as well. Evan Brock paced the offense with two singles, a walk, three swiped bags and a run scored. Seamus Devlin singled and scored as part of a go-ahead, three-run sixth inning. For Victor, junior pitcher Carter Fink whiffed seven batters in 5 2/3 innings of three-hit ball and didn’t allow an earned run. Senior infielder Max Friedlander accounted for the Blue Devils’ lone run with an RBI single to score Fink in the opening frame.
HILTON (5-1) 3
SAINT VINCENT-SAINT MARY 4
Sophomore utilityman Steven Kraus led Hilton with a pair of run-scoring singles in the fourth and sixth innings, respectively. Senior infielder Carter Clark put the Cadets on the board with an RBI triple in the fourth to slice the deficit to 3-1. James Capellupo contributed with both his arm and bat. At the plate, the junior pitcher recorded a pair of doubles, a single and two runs scored. On the bump, Capellupo racked up seven strikeouts in a complete game effort.
LYONS 8
CLYDE-SAVANNAH 7
Anthony Hartwell drove in two runs and scored a pair himself to pace Lyons’ offense in the victory. Zander Beaudette followed up with two hits and three runs scored. Senior pitcher Matthew Briggs whiffed six batters in 2 2/3 frames of relief. For Clyde-Savannah, Timothy Henry and Max Waldron both collected a pair of base knocks, including a double. Henry brought in two runs. Waldron swiped four bags and scored once. The freshman pitcher amassed nine strikeouts in four innings on the mound as well.
GANANDA (2-2) 7
MIDLAKES (6 INNINGS) 17
Michael DeHond, Holden Dorr, Noah Frere and Kyle Kumkey all drove in two runs as Midlakes posted a crooked number in every inning after the opening frame to roll to victory. Kumkey led with a two-run double as part of a five-run sixth frame. The sophomore pitcher amassed 14 strikeouts in a complete game as well. Eight of Kumkey’s last nine outs consisted of the strikeout variety. Frere ended the game with an RBI single for the mercy rule. Frere, Nathan Laird and Mark Scoville, Jr. all crossed the plate three times. For Gananda, AJ Fioravanti, Jack Frick and Andrew Gleason all brought in a pair of runs. Fioravanti and Gleason both notched a run-scoring hit as the Panthers combined for six runs in the final two frames. Henry Shutts singled twice, tripled and scored three runs.

For Bloomfield, junior pitcher Gabe Ward amassed 11 strikeouts in 4 1/3 frames of relief. Aiden Rogers, Cal Rogers and Aaron Walsh all had a hit.
