Victor’s leadoff hitter Andrew Haugh singled to start the game and Max Friedlander doubled with two outs to drive him in. Salem scored an unearned run in the fourth and the leadoff hitter in the sixth hit a solo home run that was the game winner. Max Friendlander was 2-for-3 at the plate and suffered the loss in six innings of work on the mound. Victor will play Rush-Henrietta on Monday.

The bats stayed hot for Aquinas, as they totaled 16 hits on the way to winning a third straight game, all by double-digit margins. Tre’ Walker led the way with four RBI, on two hits and a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning, giving the Li’l Irish a 7-3 lead at that point. One out later, Robert McCullough topped off his three-hit performance with a solo-shot over the left-field fence. Aiden Morris mashed a 2-run shot an inning earlier, contributing his total to three RBI on three hits. Caleb Wilson started and through five innings dished up eight strikeouts, allowing only five hits and four runs (2 earned), on 87 total pitches. Jake Wiepert came into seal the victory, striking out four of the six batters faced. Greece Odyssey kept it close (9-4), until an 11 run inning made the win inevitable for Aquinas. That top of the inning featured four hits, two errors committed in the field, four walks, and saw four batters hit by a pitch. Senior Nolan Krautwurst had two hits, including a double in the bottom of the 5th inning, to set up Greece’s fourth run. Ty VanEpps recorded a hit, and two RBI. Thomas Rebis and Tyson Roundtree both collected hits.

Starting pitcher Zachary Miner played ace for the Saints, as he struck-out nine batters, through five innings, giving up a run on two hits. In the leadoff spot, he clubbed in Churchville’s first runs, with his two-run single in the top half of the second. He came around to score the following play, thanks to a two-run-double by teammate Braedon Reina. On the other end, Blue Devils starter, Bryce Tyndell struck-out three and gave up six hits in 3.1 innings. Like his counterpart Miner, he too started off the run total for his team, knocking in a run, on a 3-2 double in the fourth inning. Down 8-1 heading into the bottom sixth, he came through with a two-run triple to center. He proceeded to score Brockport’s final run, on a proceeding sacrifice fly by senior Jacob Falvey. Jacob Cole came out strong in the fourth inning, striking out eight through 3.2 innings for the Blue Devils. Cooper Romich had the hottest bat for Churchville, hitting three singles, and driving in three runs. Shortstop Braedon Reina finished with two hits, bringing home two runners. Andrew Wilson, Zachary Richards and freshman Brayden Scaccia recorded hits for Churchville.

PITTSFORD SUTHERLAND (5-2) 14

Sutherland sent 15 batters to the plate in an 11-run sixth inning to win win for the second time in three games. Jake Fekete cleared the bases with one of five doubles the Knights hit in the frame. The senior shortstop brought home Tyler Mullin, Cole Mann and Noah Littlfield with the go-ahead runs. One batter later, Thomas Carter doubled to give Sutherland a 10-5 lead. Jack Zawacki, Mullin and Mullin added run-scoring hits before the end of the frame. Zawacki finished 2-for-2 on the day with a double, a walk, two RBI and three runs scored. Mann went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Mullin added two RBI and two runs scored on a hit and two walks. Byrne scored two runs. Alex Renzi and Scott Froula scored a run apiece. Fekete struck out two over two shutout innings of relief to pick up the win. Nickolas Martinez finished 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored to pace the Brighton offense. Matt Howe went 2-for-3 with a walk an two runs scored for the Bruins. Andrew Cranston was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Carter Sloan drove in a pair of runs. Jackson Heider singled, walked and scored a run. Brighton led 5-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth.
WAYNE CENTRAL (2-1) 2
HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA CENTRAL 3
This game went the distance, as Xavier Carbonel took a 1-0 pitch to centerfield in the bottom seventh, to drive in two runs. HF-L trailed 2-1 entering the inning, and tallied two of its five hits in the frame, including a triple by Michael Principe, putting the tying run at the corner. The low-scoring affair featured only eight hits, five for Honeoye and three for Wayne Central. Pitching played a sizable role, as Brandon Benkovic starred on the mound for Wayne, retiring 10 batters via the strikeout, allowing only one hit through four and a third innings. Trenton Wager pitched the complete game, striking out six batters, and giving up three hits. Nathan Weber, Jacob Campbell, and Nolan Smith each recorded a hit for HF-L and Campbell provided an RBI. Wayne’s three hits were provided by Sean Nellis, Teigan Jeffery, and Jared Dier.

EAST HIGH SCHOOL (6-0) 11
Pedro Garcia hurled an inning and two-thirds of scoreless ball and sparked a five-run fifth inning with his second home run of the season. Garcia took the mound with two on, one out and East clinging to a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning. After surrendering a base hit to the first batter he faced, the junior left-hander ended the threat when a runner was erased on the base paths and he struck out the final batter of the inning. Melgui Montalvo started and struck out 14 while allowing five earned runs over six innings to pick up the win. Jalen Breedy led Franklin’s offense with two triples and three runs scored. Callan Reddington was 2-for-4 and scored with three RBI and two runs scored. Diego Martinez highlighted a six-run second inning with two-out base hit that brought home a pair of runs.

EASTRIDGE (4-4) 20
Eastridge pitching seemed almost un-hittable, as Tom Bareham and Evan Bishop combined to only sacrifice 3 hits throughout 6 innings. Headlining the mound was Tom Bareham who tossed 5 innings, totaling 10 strikeouts to 4 walks, giving up 2 runs on 82 pitches thrown. His shutout through 3 innings was broken by freshman Geovanni Rosa, who connected on a 1-1 pitch and sent a line-shot to right field, hustling around the bases for an inside the park homerun. The hit drove in fellow freshman Ethan Phillips who walked 1 out earlier. A 12 run fifth, sealed the mercy win for the Lancers. The bats were alive and well, as the senior Tom Bareham did it all with 4 hits, driving in 4 runs, including an RBI triple in the 4th. Eastridge finished with 18 hits, featuring three from senior Evan Brown, and two apiece from Ryan Greenhagen, Evan Vinci, and Connor Welch. The hitting displays included and inside-the-park homerun by Greenhagen in the 3rd, and a 3-run blast by PJ Cutaia in the bottom half of the 5th. Augustine Valentini and Ethan Phillips each finished with a hit for Bishop Kearney.

Marlayna Cartagena struck out 12 and Irondequoit won its third straight game. The junior collected two hits including a double and scored both Irondequoit runs. Ella Cooley had a single and two stolen bases in the win.
