Rush-Henrietta sent 12 batters to the plate in an eight-run second inning, and the Royal Comets went on to pound out 12 hits in the win. Chuckie Sobaszek started the scoring in the second with an RBI double that brought in Seamus Devlin. Two batters later, Kyle Van Auker plated Cameron Richards and Sobaszek with a two-bagger of his own as the R-H hit parade marched through the lineup. VanAuker finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Devlin went 2-for-2 with a double later in the game and two RBI. Richards was 3-for-4 in the game while Dillon Kelly finished 2-for-3. Justin Angora doubled, drove in two and scored once in the win. Evan Brock doubled, walked twice, scored twice and drove in a run. Joe Grzeskowiak walked and scored two runs. Tobey Wright started and struck out eight over for innings to register the win. The senior right-hander allowed one run on two hits and four walks. Sobaszek struck out three and retired all six batters he faced in two innings of relief work. Gates-Chili’s Angelo Morales finished 2-for-4 with a run. Vincent Lucyszyn went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and two RBI. Austin D’Ettore went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Aaron Henry and Jordan Warren both walked and scored a run.

Webster Schroeder built a six-run lead and held on for a bounce-back victory. Johnny Maier pitched 4.1 innings to pick up the win. The right-hander struck out four and retired 10 of the first 11 batters he faced. Maier helped his own cause with a two-out bloop single that capped a three-run Schroeder fourth. With teammates Jason Leonardo and Jonathan McCaffrey aboard, Maier connected on a second-pitch fastball that fell among a trio of Churchville fielders in shallow right field. READ MORE.

Tommy Rebis tripled, homered drove in six runs and scored three more to pace an Odyssey/Olympia offense that pounded out 14 hits in its second straight win. Rebis plated Nolan Krautwurst with a one-out triple in the bottom of the first to start the scoring. The Griffins went on to score six with two outs in the frame to take a lead they did not surrender. Krautwurst went 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI. Ty VanEpps finished 2-for-5 with a double, four RBI and a run scored. Tyson Roundtree also doubled was 3-for-4 with a walk, three RBI and an RBI. James Schlueter went 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored and an RBI. Alex Frisone doubled, drove in three and scored a run. Josh Tantalo doubled, walked and scored twice. Dominic Braun started and struck out nine over five innings of work to pick up the win. The senior allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks. Tantalo fanned two over two innings of relief work. Kearney’s Trevor Berg finished 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ethan Phillips had a hit, walked twice and drove in a run.

Brennen Russo finished a triple shy of the cycle and was one of three pitchers to combine on a no-hitter as Eastridge stopped three-game skid. Russo doubled home a run in a six-run first, brought home another with a single in the second and later connected on a three-run home run to pace the Eastridge offense. The sophomore finished 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored. He also struck out the only two batters he faced in two-thirds of an inning of work. Tom Bareham started and started and struck out three over 4.1 innings. Evan Brown fanned four of the six batters he faced over two clean innings of work. Ryan Greenhagen doubled and 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the win. Brown tripled, walked, drove in a run and scored twice. Evan Bishop went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored. Connor Welch was 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBI. Bareham collected a hit, walk and two runs scored. Evan Vinci had a hit, RBI and run scored. PJ Cutaia doubled and scored a run. Justin Rodriguez scored one of the SOTA runs.

CJ Phelps finished 2-for-3 on the day including a two-out RBI single that plated Luca Ciaramitaro with the tying run in the sixth inning, but the Jesuit Knights went on to lose for the second consecutive time in extra innings at the National High School Invitational from Cary, North Carolina. Ciaramitaro finished 3-for-4 in the game with a double and an RBI. Aiden Stewart went singled and scored a run. Zach Allen walked and scored. Tanner DeGrazia, Will Taylor and Mekhi Stephens collected a hit apiece. McQuaid erased a three-run deficit to send the game to extra innings. Orange Lutheran scored four unearned runs in the eighth.

Robert McCullough connected on a first-inning grand slam to give Aquinas a lead it did not surrender. CJ Mangone and Tré Walker led the game with back-to-back walks before Lucas Leone connected on a single to load the bases for McCullough. Jake Wiepert struck out six, walked one and allowed three runs (zero earned) on two hits and one walk over five innings for the win. Aiden Morris finished 2-for-2 with a double, four RBI and a run scored. Will Scanlon singled, walked twice and scored three runs in the win. Patrick Altpeter singled, walked, drove in a run and scored two. Mangone doubled and collected two RBI. Wiepert doubled and scored a run. Dominic Bronco singled and drove in a run. Nathan Laird singled, walked and scored a run for Midlakes. Noah Frere crossed home twice for the Screaming Eagles.

Ally Schumacher homered twice, doubled, drove in four runs and scored four to lead Athena/Odyssey/Olympia. Schumacher connected on a two-run home run in the first inning when Athena/Odyssey/Olympia jumped to a 3-0 lead. Skylar Zapata doubled twice, walked twice, scored three times and drove in another. The senior pitcher struck out three and allowed one run on four hits for the win. Aleksa Lelis finished 1-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Maci Vetter had a double, two RBI and two runs scored. SOTA’s Brynn DeRock finished 2-for-3 with a run scored. Shannon Conner drove in the lone Silverhawks’ run with a single.
