Joseph Aikens and Perry Washington combined for 21 points to pace a balanced Rochester Academy offense as the Racers remained undefeated through the sectional semifinals. Washington led with 11 points, including nine in the first half. Aikens combined for all 10 of his points in the first and third quarters. The freshman guard made 4-of-4 free throws and added one rebound, an assist, a steal and a block. Aikens and Washington both nailed a pair of three-pointers as well. Senior forward Josiah Heyward accumulated nine points, five rebounds, five steals and three blocks. Ja’seir Samuels stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, five boards, one assist and a steal. Rochester Academy advances to the sectional final and will take on No. 2 seed Avon, Friday night. For Canisteo-Greenwood, senior guard Cole Ferris led with 10 of his 14 points in the first half. Hunter McCaffery produced 13 points. JC Walker scored all 21 of his points in the first half as Lyons opened a double-digit lead and cruised to its fifth straight win. Walker connected seven times from the floor in the opening 16 minutes including one 3-pointer. Teammate Jay Battle added 18 points in the win while Jacobs Sides contributed eight points. Quintin Franklin and Jaiden Lopez had seven points apiece. Matt Briggs (5), Jymeer Linzy (3), Mike Briggs (2) and Aaron Rouse (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lions who led 43-25 at halftime. Lyons advances to the sectional final and will take on No. 2 seed Oakfield-Alabama, Friday night. Cain Simpson led Campbell-Savona with 13 points. Kaden Bolt and Kade Cochran had nine apiece in the loss. Lucas Feldman (6), Ethan Ribble (4), Mason Jewell (3) and Dakota Gatton (2) also scored for the Panthers.

Jake Pangrazio scored nine of his game-high 26 points in the third quarter when the Knights used a 13-3 run to take a double-digit lead into the final eight minutes of play. Pangrazio connected on one of his four 3-pointers while converting a pair of free throws and adding two more field goals in the third. York led 56-43. READ MORE.

Kyle Wade took over with 21 of his 33 points in the second half to as Caledonia-Mumford scored 80-plus points for the second straight sectionals game and pulled away in the semifinals. The senior forward corralled seven rebounds as well. Evan Raniewicz netted 16 points. Senior forward Scott Essig posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore forward Nate Doll stepped up with 10 points and seven boards. Senior guard Alex Carnes chipped in eight points and four rebounds. Caledonia-Mumford advances to the sectional final and will take on No. 4 seed York, Friday night. For Bradford/Dundee, senior guard Logan Salvatore led with 22 points. Michael End and Nick Slavick both contributed 11 points. Junior guard Ryan McTamney pitched in 10 points.
Quote from Caledonia-Mumford head coach Dan Dickens: “It feels great to get back to the finals after losing to Oakfield-Alabama last season. Our halfcourt execution was really good tonight. We need to do a better job defensively with York as they have five guys that can score at all times on the floor. Zach Marsceill poured in 28 points and seven three-pointers along with six rebounds, three steals and two assists to lead Elba to victory in the sectional semifinals. The senior guard scored three points in the first quarter, 11 in the second, six in the third and eight in the fourth. Marsceill drilled four of his made three-pointers in the first half as well. The 5-foot-11 guard made 5-of-6 free throws in the final stanza to help the Lancers secure the win. Connor Scott came alive for 12 of his 14 points after the opening period in which the Lancers trailed, 16-12. The junior guard converted five field goals and four foul shots. Scott dished out eight assists, collected one board, a block and a steal. Elba advances to the sectional final and will take on top-seeded Notre Dame Batavia, Saturday morning at Letchworth High School. For Jasper-Troupsburg, junior center Cash Bouton led with 18 points and four long-range makes. Senior center Colby Cornish posted six field goals from inside the arc and 3-of-3 free throws for 15 points.
