Tyler Simmons splashed a trio of three-pointers and scored 13 points in the second half to help spring Rush Henrietta to the victory. After trailing by three points going into the second quarter, Rush outscored Victor in the next two quarters by a combined total of eighteen points to bring a 15-point lead into the final frame. Rush was then able to withstand a 24-point fourth quarter Victor surge led by seven points from Cam Ryan and another seven from Phil Nwugwo to hang on to the win. Tyler Simmons ended up with 21 points on the night, a team high for Rush. Tobey Wright was able to put up a 17-point performance for Rush, with nine fourth-quarter points to help drive off the Victor comeback. Nasir Hunter knocked down eight from the stripe and totaled sixteen points on the night. Mason Giorgione also hit three three-pointers and wound up with 12 points. Abdul Bori netted six points. Phil Nwugwo scored a game-high 24 points to lead Victor. Nick Leonard had a pair of three-pointers and totaled 12 points. Cam Ryan and Garrett Clar both finished with nine points. Other scorers with Victor were AJ Queri (5), Ryan Dodge (3), and Jonah Whittier (2). Rush Henrietta will play Hilton in the AA semifinals.

Bleier hit his team’s first 3 of the game and, after being held scoreless for the rest of the first quarter, made another basket from long range to extend Aquinas’s lead to 27-19 with 3:31 until halftime. The player LaFave called the “most underrated” in Section V supported his coach’s claim with his play, and when he missed a shot, teammates Mason Blackwood and Jordan Jordan were there for the putback. Jackson Green and Caleb Lewis posted a double-double apiece as Mendon cruised to a 17-point halftime lead and went on to win its eighth straight game. Lewis accounted for eight of his 16 points in the second quarter when the Vikings outscored Churchville-Chili 21-8. Lewis grabbed 10 rebounds in the game. Green scored 13 points and handed out 10 assists. Kidder Lindley had a game-high 20 points. Matt Woods scored 13. Ryan Deuel added seven points. London Hoyser scored six while Eric Krowl (5), Tyler Shadders (2), Luke Smith (1) and Michael Bischoping (1) rounded out the Vikings’ scoring. Jason Gibbs and Ricardo Lagares scored 13 apiece to lead the Saints. Robert Munding and Michael Sardou both scored eight points. Amir Thomas (5), Cam Taylor (3) and Joaquon Thomas (3) also scored for C-C. Mendon advanced to the semi-finals and will face Irondequoit.

Ryan Heath and Xavier Gissendanner paced Irondequoit’s offense with 24 and 17 points respectively. The Eagles led a closely-played first quarter 10-9. In the second, Irondequoit cranked up the defensive pressure and went on a 17-6 run to gain a double-digit lead that they maintained and built on for the remainder of the game. Heath scored eight second quarter points while Gissendanner had 10. Canandaigua big man Nick Ferris picked up two first-quarter fouls that impacted his play on the defensive end as Heath and Gissendanner were able to score in the paint. Bryce Ceravolo had 10 of his 14 points in the first half for the Braves. The Eagles went into the fourth with a 13-point lead as Heath added six more to his ledger, all at the rim. Canandaigua cut the lead to 10 early in the fourth quarter, but Heath and Charles Barnes combined to score the next six points to give the Eagles a 16-point edge that put the game out of reach. Barnes finished with eight points. Damon Brumfield had seven. Owen Salerno (3), Evan Leonardo (3) and Quinn VanKerkhove (2) rounded out the scoring for Irondequoit. Ferris had 10 of his 15 points in the second half for the Braves who finished their season at 15-6. Creavolo added 14 points. Callum Outhouse had five. Derek Andrews (4), Kenyon Mahoney (3), Patt Pawlicki (2) and Conner McKenna (2) also scored for Canandaigua. Irondequoit plays top-seeded Mendon on Tuesday night.

Deonte Major scored a team-high 17 points and handed out six assists to lead Rochester Academy into the semi-finals to face No. 4 Canisteo-Greenwood. The senior guard connected on 6-of-9 shots from the floor including 2-of-3 from behind the 3-point arc. Major also collected two steals. Fellow senior Josiah Heyward added 15 points, eight steals and five rebounds. Heyward and Major combined for 15 points in the third quarter when RACS outscored Whitman 19-13 to take an eight-point lead into the fourth quarter. Joe Aikens scored eight points in the win. Christian Coleman had seven points and seven rebounds. Ja’seir Samuels also had seven points. Jaylin Duval (4), Kam McDonald (4), Evariste Omebe (2) and Perry Washington (1) also scored for the Racers. Marcus Whitman’s Connor Tomion led all scorers with 22 points. Nolan Lee and Brody Royston added 12 apiece. Bryce Tomion had six points, and Myles Prendergast had two.

Michael Rowland grabbed 12 boards and scored seven points in the win. Andrew Rowland and Josh Harter had nine points apiece in the win. Kaden Colt (6) and Jack Browner (4) rounded out the scoring for the Braves. Johnny Mertsock led Letchworth with 14 points. Austin Shearing had eight points, and Nik Eustace scored seven.

JC Walker poured in 14 of his game-high 29 points in the third quarter when Lyons outscored Warsaw 18-9 to take a commanding 16-point lead into the final eight minutes of the game. Walker connected five times from the floor in the third and converted 4-of-5 free throws. Teammate Jacob Sides added 18 points in the win. Jaiden Lopez and CyQuire Norvell added four apiece. Matt Briggs hit a 3-pointer while Jamir Johnson, Quintin Franklin and Mike Briggs each scored two points. Warsaw’s Matt Auble scored 21 points in the game. Bailey Schell added five. Mason McClurg and Ty Joy scored three apiece while Jake Sawdey and Pat Klump had two points. Lyons will play No. 5 Campbell-Savona in the semi-finals.

Jamuel Guzman (6), Sheltere Matos-Cox (4), Bryant Seda (3) and David Thomas (3) rounded out the scoring for the Hornets who will face York in the semi-finals. Ryan Muscarella connected on six 3-pointers and finished with 23 points to lead Byron-Bergen. Teammate Bradeyn Chambry added 22 points for the Bees. Gianni Ferrara had 11. David Brumsted (4) and Gordon Zimmerman (2) also scored for Byron-Bergen.

Wyatt Karnuth (13) and Aydan Sisson (12) also scored for the Wolverines.
“Bolivar is a tough team and we had to battle 32 minutes,” said York head coach Ed Orman, Jr. “We were far from perfect but battled hard and we’re excited to play in the sectional semi-final on Monday.”

Other scorers for Romulus were Ben Jessop (8), Felix Flores (5), Mike Kaufman (2), and Jaden VanDuran (2). Ethan Davenport led Scio/Friendship with 10 points, all in the second half. Brendan Loveks tallied up nine points. Taylor Moore had five points, all in the fourth quarter. Gabbin Benhassine finished with four points. Jacob Golden scored two. Romulus takes on Batavia Notre-Dame in the D2 semifinals.

Teagan Kimm led Honeoye Falls-Lima with a 12 point effort, with 10 of her points coming from the free throw line. Both Marlee Green and Clare Rutt both added six points. Other scorers for HFL were Emma Huffman (2), Whitley Easton (2), and Maddy Schirbach (2). Schroeder will face Canandaigua in the class A semifinals.

Madison Lee led Dansville with 11 points. Teammate Chelsie Tyler scored 10. Erin Patanella had four points. Aynsley Belcher, Megan Tyler and Abby Belcher each scored two points.
