Hayden Abbott led four players in double figures with 22 points as Avoca/Prattsburgh took down host Addison in the semifinals of the Steuben County Boys Tournament. The junior forward scored 10 points in the third quarter. Abbott totaled nine field goals, including four from long range. Sawyer Devoe combined for 12 of his 16 points in the second and third stanzas. The junior forward made six shots and four free throws along with corralling 10 rebounds and four assists. Sophomore guard Macoy Putnam netted 13 of his 15 points in the first three quarters, dished out five assists and swiped three steals. Senior guard Pacey Hopkins came alive for 11 points in the second half along with six assists and three steals. Ryan Heath scored nine of his 17 points in the first quarter and added four more in a 14-1 run to start the second as Irondequoit went on to avenge a loss from earlier in the season. Damon Brumfield had five of his 13 points in the second-quarter run. The Eagles extended their lead to 18 by the end of the third quarter. Any hopes of a Bruin comeback were dashed early in the fourth when Xavier Gissendanner scored six of his game-high 20 points in a 12-0 start to the final frame. Evan Leonardo added eight points for Irondequoit. Charles Barnes had seven. Quinn VanKerkhove rounded the Irondequoit scoring with three points. Andrew Falter was the only Bruin in double digits with 11 while David Tisa, Jr. had nine and Eli Desandis scored eight. Jack Scott (4), Reggie Smith, Jr. (3), Matt Howe (3), Quinn O’Brien (1), Trygve Watkins (1) and Kendall Cleveland (1) also scored for Brighton. The Bruins defeated Irondequoit 74-65 when the two teams met in late December. Irondequoit had lost two straight entering Saturday’s matchup.

Junior guard Casey Montesano scored 14 points in three quarters and hit 5-of-5 free throws. For Leadership Academy, senior forward Kenny Couser led with 21 points on seven three-pointers. Diego Martinez drilled a key three-pointer in overtime to lift World Of Inquiry to its second straight win. The sophomore guard finished with a game-high 21 points and poured 18 in the first half to lead the Griffins to a 33-29 advantage at intermission. Overall, Martinez connected on four long-range shots and seven total field goals along with three free throws. Freshman forward Jaedon Adams-Griffin hit three field goals from long distance and six shots overall as part of his 17 points. Ibrahim Bangura and Yacoub Tarawally both contributed 10 points. Bangura did all his scoring in the third quarter. For School Of The Arts, junior guard Tyree Moore led with 11 of his 15 points in the second half. Senior forward Keshaun Chatman scored in every quarter and finished with 14 points. Richie Nadal poured 11 of his 13 points in the first half. Eleven of the 12 active players for Webster Thomas scored as the Titans displayed a balanced offense to cruise to its 11th consecutive victory. Shawn Mason led with 17 points and five three-pointers. The junior guard poured all his points in the first and third quarters, including 11 in the opening stanza to pace the Titans to a 23-6 lead. Senior forward Jackson Kulik posted all 13 of his points in the first and third periods as well and hit three shots from long distance. Jack Rider came alive for 12 points after the first quarter on five made field goals, including two from beyond the arc. For Bishop Kearney, Alejandro Aguilar and Zee Johnson II both scored eight points. Jason Gibbs scored 17 of his game-high 30 points in the first half when Churchville-Chili built a double-digit lead and went on to win for the fourth time in the past five games. Gibbs finished the game with 14 field goals – all inside the 3-point arc. The junior guard, who is averaging better than 24 points per game, topped the 30-point mark for the third time this season. Teammate Joaquan Thomas added 14 points. Amir Thomas scored nine while Michael Sardou (4), Tyler Meisenzahl (2) and Ricardo Lagares (2) rounded out the scoring for the Saints. Gates-Chili’s Sammuel Seymour connected on five 3-pointers and led the Spartans with 20 points. Ryan Santiago hit four triples for 12 points. Kani Mitchem added nine points for Gates. Richard Stevenson (5), Ayden Grinion (2) and Brandon Randolph (2) also scored for the Spartans. Gates connected 10 times from distance in the contest.

Jack Bleier netted eight of his game-high 15 points in the second half as Aquinas outscored Saint Francis (Monsignor Martin), 20-15, and pulled away for its 10th victory in the last 11 games. The senior forward made more free throws (six) than field goals (four), grabbed seven rebounds, swiped four steals and handed out three assists. Myles Blackwood scored nine of his 12 points in the first half to pace the L’il Irish to a 30-22 lead. The senior forward amassed eight rebounds, four steals and two assists. Robert McCullough had eight of his 11 points in the first 16 minutes of game play along with five boards and an assist. Sophomore forward Mason Blackwood stuffed the stat sheet with six points, 12 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block. Jordan Jordan (4) and Mykel White (2) rounded out the scoring for the L’il Irish.

Freshman forward Bryce Long followed up with 12 points, converting two shots from both inside and beyond the arc. Senior guard Jahod Faison scored 10 of his 11 points in the first three quarters. Jackson Green scored 14 points in three quarters as Pittsford Mendon took down its crosstown rival in the Rainbow Classic at the University of Rochester. The junior guard netted 10 points in the first half to ignite the Vikings to a 36-22 lead. Green made four of six shots inside the arc, dished out four assists and swiped four steals as well. Caleb Lewis scored 11 points in three quarters, making four field goals and three free throws. The junior guard grappled 10 rebounds for a double-double as well. Eric Krowl finished just shy of a double-double with eight points and seven boards. For Pittsford Sutherland, junior guard Sam Pisanelli led with a game-high 16 points by making 8-of-9 free throws and a pair of three-pointers. Mike Bogart (4), DJ Bruni (2) and Brody Herron (2) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils. For Bloomfield, Isaac McClelland led with 16 of his 19 points in the second half. The junior center poured in eight shots from inside the arc and 3-of-4 free throws. Calvin Roger followed up with 10 points. Senior guard Jackson Feltham chipped in seven. For Pavilion, Landon Stoddard and Zach Tillotson both scored 10 points.

Zach Colvin led a balanced Avon offense with 13 points as the Braves rolled to their ninth victory in the last 10 games. The senior forward snatched 12 rebounds as well. With the victory, the Braves clinched at least a share of the Livingston County Division II title. For Warsaw, junior guard DeQuarius Johnson-Myers led with eight points. Senior guard Imani Harder compiled nine points, eight steals, five boards, five blocks and four assists. Cierra Harrison chipped in two points, hauled down seven rebounds, swiped three steals and handed out an assist. Despite not scoring a point, freshman guard Mikayla Chase accumulated six boards, six steals, five assists and one block. Jenna Bott (2) and Julianna Holly (2) rounded out the scoring for the Lions.

Libby Benner scored 19 points and drilled a three-pointer with a minute left to give Keshequa a two-possession cushion and its sixth win in the last seven games. Junior center Aurora Sabins added seven points and seven boards. For Caledonia-Mumford, freshman guard Ava Amorese ignited an attempted rally with nine of her 17 points in the fourth quarter.
