Six different players scored in the first quarter when Victor grabbed a 24-11 lead and went on to clinch the Monroe County Division I title. Phil Nwugwo scored eight of his team-high 22 points in the first frame. Ryan Dodge, Nick Leonard, AJ Queri and Cam Ryan each connected from behind the 3-point arc during the opening stanza, part of an overall effort that saw the Blue Devils hit 10 triples on the night. Ryan finished with 18 points. Leonard had 14 and Queri 10 points. Garrett Clar (7), Rohan Chitre (2) also scored for Victor. The Blue Devils have won four straight. Hilton’s Preston Prince finished with a game-high 26 points. Greyson Trubia added 10 for the Cadets. Johnny Bianchi scored eight. Carter Clark (7), Michael Whelehan (5), Derek Cavey (3), Riley Pendleton (2) and Luke Simonelli (2) also scored for Hilton.

Leading by one heading into that second stanza, the Braves outscored Gates-Chili 18-5. Ceravolo finished with 16 points in the game. Ferris had 12. Nick Andrews connected on three 3-pointers and scored 15 of his team-high 17 points in the first quarter. Callum Outhouse (5), Carter Sickles (4), Jack Bacon (3), Luke Springer (3), Matt Pawlicki (2) and Nick Read (2) also scored for Canandaigua which has won seven straight games. The Braves have held five opponents during that recent stretch to 50 or fewer points. Gates-Chili’s Kani Mitchem led all scorers with 22 points. The junior guard hit six 3-pointers in the game. After bringing a 24-22 lead into the halftime break, Irondequoit used a 26-12 run in the third quarter to break the game open. Both Ryan Heath and Evan Leonardo scored 11 points. Damon Brumfield had eight points, Owen Salerno added six points. Charles Barnes (4), Quinn VanKerkhove (3) and David Ceasar (2) also contributed to the Irondequoit offense. For Leadership, Kenny Couser had 13 points, and Jahmere Kirkland had 11. Other scorers for Leadership were DaiQuon McKinney (9), Cameron Miller (5), Navier Ford (3), Mysean Morrison (2), and Matt Thomas (2).

Carter McFollins accounted for 10 fourth-quarter points to help Batavia squeak out the win. Trailing by two points at halftime, Batavia used a big third quarter to take a seven-point lead into the fourth. It was then that McFollins took the game over, scoring 10 of his game-high 17 points in the final frame. McFollins received help from both Tanner Mountain and Mikey McKenzie, as they combined for eight three-pointers and both scored 14 points. Estavan Levett scored six, and Javin McFollins had two. Vertus got a 15-point effort from Reginald Pough to lead its scoring column. Jayden Ridley-Smith had nine of his 12 in the fourth quarter. Other players who scored for Vertus were Tajmeik Hawkins (8), Gerod Jackson (6), Trevor Scott (4), and Daymeir Caip (4).

Brandon Latson scored 15 of his 17 points in the third quarter on the way to the Edison Tech victory. Edison got out of the gates quick, starting the game on a 17-4 run and then never looked back. Marcqell Freeman hit three three-pointers in the second quarter, and wrapped up with 13 points. Mike Morgan had nine points. Other scorers for Edison were Noah White (8), Edmari Binion (7), Jabari Johnson (5), Divine Thomas (4), Raliq Moore, Zirell Williams, Jearney Higdon (4), and Davijon Lipscomb (2). For Geneva, both Brian Whitley and Hector Rosado scored nine points. Devin Thomas finished with eight points, and Alavonte Graves had four. Other players for Geneva to score were Immanual Townsend (3), Kareem Guillory (2), and Andrew Avedisian (2).
