The St. John Fisher College men’s basketball team earned its third straight victory after they defeated Hartwick, 95-43, inside Lambros Arena Saturday evening. With the win, Fisher improves to 9-3 overall, and 3-0 in the Empire 8, while Hartwick moved to 0-10 overall and 0-2 in the conference, respectively.

The Cardinal offense has been explosive during their win streak and didn’t slow down as they went on a 30-7 run to gain a 51-16 lead with just over two minutes to go in the first half and never looked back.

With time running out, Coach Mike Grosodonia’s squad had a comfortable 95-43 advantage and dribbled the ball out to secure their third straight Empire 8 victory.

Senior Brendan Trapper led the way with 28 points, followed by Daniel Cook with 17, and Ryan Gentile with 12.

Sean Williams had a historic evening, as the senior guard earned his 162 career steal, breaking the program record of 160 held by Chaz Lott (2016).

Fisher finished the game shooting 32-66 from the field (.485) and 7-18 from behind the arc (.389). The road team also finished with 38 points in the paint and 24 points off turnovers.

The Cardinals will be back in action on January 14, as they return home to take on Utica on Bobby Wanzer Court at 7:30 p.m.
