Antoine McFadden scored 33 points, but it was not enough as Eugenio Maria de Hostos fell in the Bishop Kearney Holiday Showcase. McFadden connected 13 times from the floor including one 3-pointer. Julier Ruiz added nine points for the Hornets. Lavante Brown had eight. Sheltiere Cox-Mattos accounted for six points, and Jamuel Guzman had five. Alex Daugherty and Amauri Truax scored 18 apiece to lead Horseheads. EMCHS trailed by seven at halftime before rallying to send the game to overtime.

SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (2-4) 55
VERTUS (3-2) 58
Jayden Ridley-Smith connected on a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth when Vertus erased a 10-point deficit to win its second straight game. Earlington Walker finished with a double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to lead the Warriors. Gerod Jackson collected 12 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Daymeir Cain had four points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Tajmeik Hawkins scored 11 points. Trevor Scott and Sho’miere Harvey accounted for two points. SOTA’s Keshaun Chatman led all scorers with 20 points. Teammate Fred Bryant scored six of 11 points in the third quarter as the Silverhawks took a 44-34 lead into the final eight minutes of the game. Richie Nadal scored nine and Tyree Moore had eight points. Sam Howland (4) and Ajia Goggins (3) rounded out the scoring for SOTA.

ROCHESTER ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL (4-0) 74
Seven different players figured in the first-quarter scoring when Rochester Academy sprinted to a 28-13 and did not trail for the remainder of the game. Kam McDonald scored four of his team-high 17 points while Christian Coleman added four of his 11 points. Coleman finished the game with 10 rebounds for the double-double. Deonte Major accounted for seven of his 13 points in the opening eight minutes of action. Major handed out six assists in the game. Josiah Heyward collected four steals, four rebounds and four points. Joe Aikens scored 12 points. Jay’lyn Duval grabbed seven rebounds including six on the offensive end and scored six points. Evariste Omebe had nine points. Adrian McMath and Antonio Rodriguez had two points apiece. Jami Walker led Rochester Prep with 21 points. Kyrell Shaw added seven points. Kyron Shaw had nine. Tajmir Mullins scored 11 while Tyler Benjamin added six for the Racers.

LEADERSHIP (1-4) 59

Kenny Couser hit six 3-pointers and scored 23 points to pace the Leadership offense. Jahmere Kirkland had 11 points. Cameron Miller scored six while Dayveon Weems had five points. Shamirr Brooks accounted for four points. Matt Thomas (3), Jose Melendez (2), Mysean Morrison (2) and Charles Fairley (2) rounded out the scoring for Leadership. The game was played as part of the Bishop Kearney Holiday Showcase.

Robert McCullough sparked a 13-2 run with a corner three, his second 3-pointer of the afternoon. Heconverted one of two free throws before getting ahead of the defense for a layup. He drew contact on a wing drive for two more from the charity stripe. In less than four minutes of game time, McCullough scored eight points. AQ had a 65-45 lead. He capped the run with an and-one in transition for the Li’l Irish’s largest lead of the day at 68-47. READ MORE.

Brenden Loucks had his best game of the season to lead the Friendship/Scio attack, scoring a season-high 22 points to pair with six rebounds off the glass. Lazar Bulajic added in 13 points of his own to couple with seven rebounds and seven steals. Ethan Davenport had 12 points. READ MORE.

Amiyah Nunn led Irondequoit with 19 points, six assists, rebounds and three steals. Daisy Smith posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to go with two assists and one steal. Aubrey Smith had eight points, seven rebounds and three assists. Maeve Brennan grabbed 12 rebounds while handing out four assists, blocking two shots, collecting four steals and scoring two points. Evin Terziglu scored two points and grabbed four rebounds.

VICTOR (4-0) 42
OUR LADY OF MERCY (3-1) 37
Kaitlin Murphy scored 19 points, and Mallory Clar had 15 to lead Victor. Rachel Gill scored four points while Eva Pronti (3) and Abbie Murphy (1) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils. Mercy’s Libby McDonough finished with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Karli Harnischfeger scored 10 points to go with four rebounds and three assists. Audrey Hintz collected 10 rebounds, five blocks, two points and two assists. Mia Valvo (2) and Sophie Dearcop (1) also scored for the Monarchs.

Kaia Goode scored 25 points, Amaia Jackson added 19 while Caydence Hadley and Aniya Rowe had 11 and 10 points respectively. Klarissa Goode scored eight. ALlie Hall and Marciana McDowell scored two apiece.

Jade Harvey hauled in 24 rebounds while scoring 11 points and handing out three assists in leading Aquinas to its second straight win. Abigail Pfluke paced the offense with 26 points while Molly O’Toole scored 17 points and grabbed four rebounds. Loren Green finished with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. Norah Valentino had six points, eight rebounds and four assists. Elizabeth Tantalo had one point, one steal, one block and one rebound.

CANISTEO-GREENWOOD (5-2) 67

Canisteo-Greenwood’s Lillian Mullen scored a game-high 19 points including the 1,000th of her high school career. The sophomore guard reached the milestone with a second-quarter field goal. Mullen connected eight times from the floor in the game including three 3-pointers. She also collected nine rebounds, eight assists and eight steals. Younger sister, Bailey Mullen had 17 points and seven steals in the win. Brooke Burd had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Peyton Peters (7), Triniti Tigner (5), McKenna Ferris (4) and Hailey Davis also scored for C-G. Chloe Bracken led Alfred-Almond with six points. Angela Smith, Ryann Donlon and Isabel Badeau each scored two points.

Karlee Zinkievich posted a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists to go with two steals and a rebound to lead Pavilion. Teammate Shea Amberger finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, four steals, three blocks and three assists. Lauren Kingsley added 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Paige Landers and Kylie Conway scored eight apiece. Ella Tillotson accounted for two points, six assists and three steals. The Golden Gophers collected 26 assists as a team.

Alea Groff led Oakfield-Alabama with 12 points, six rebounds and three steals. Teammate Emma Gray added 11 points six rebounds, three steals and two assists while Makena Reding had 11 points, three assists and three steals. Kelsey Schlagenhauf accounted for nine points, nine rebounds and three assists. Caitlin Ryan (5), Brooke Reding (4) and Piper Hyde (2) rounded out the scoring for Oakfield-Alabama. Morgan Brace paced Letchworth with 11 points. Delaney Bean had five points, nine rebounds and three assists. Jonelle Filtcroft (4), Kate Broughton (4) and Phoebe Conklin (3) also scored for Letchworth.

    Love this site! Great write-ups…we always read after every game, so do the players- awesome job! What about the Fairport vs Penfield Friday night game?
