Raykim Chenier rushed for a pair of scores as UPrep held on for the win in the sectional semifinals. The senior running back ran wild for 180 yards on 28 handoffs. Sharod Watkins led the defense with six and a half tackles, including four resulting in lost yardage and four sacks. Sophomore defensive end Isaiah Moonschein registered six and a half tackles as well, including three for a loss and two sacks. Junior linebacker Nazir Wynn followed up with six tackles, including one for negative yardage and a sack. UPrep advances to the sectional final to take on top-seeded Brighton.

Ryan Gavette registered three rushing touchdowns as Canandaigua did all its scoring in the first half en route to winning the sectional semifinals. The senior running back punched the ball into the end zone on runs of five, 71 and two yards, respectively. Gavette scored two of his three touchdowns in the opening period as well. The 6-foot-1 senior only needed nine carries to accumulate 146 yards. Bryan Boldrin hurled a touchdown pass to Jaxon Grant and Eric Platten in the second quarter. The senior quarterback finished with 61 passing yards on three completions. For Greece Arcadia, Joseph Sotomayor accounted for the team’s lone score with a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Canandaigua advances to the sectional final to take on No. 2 seed Spencerport.

Eimaj Giddens totaled three touchdowns as Aquinas rolled to the win in the sectional quarterfinals. The junior running back found paydirt on two of his 13 carries which added up to 135 yards and hauled in a 23-yard score. Will Benjamin added two rushing touchdowns as well as part of his 14-carry, 175-yard performance. The senior running back reeled in a 50-yard reception as well. Junior quarterback Mykel White only needed seven passes to accumulate 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Sophomore linebacker Trent Hill led the defense with eight tackles and two forced fumbles. Aquinas advances to the sectional final to take on No. 3 seed Pittsford.

Cameron McClinic and Jesse Reinhart both notched a pair of touchdowns to lead Batavia to the shutout victory in the sectional quarterfinals. McClinic hustled for two rushing scores on runs of 43 and 40 yards, respectively. The junior runner accumulated 94 yards on three handoffs. Reinhart delivered a touchdown pass to Cole Grazioplene and Jagger Owens. Reinhart led the overall offense with 184 all-purpose yards: 8-of-12 from the pocket for 152 yards and 32 more via four carries. Junior running back Aidan Anderson rounded out the scoring with a 12-yard score in the second quarter as part of his 11-carry, 71-yard performance. Senior linebacker Kaden Marucci led the defense with nine tackles, including two for loss. Matthew McWethy registered four of his five tackles for negative yardage. Junior defensive back Carter McFollins picked off a pass. Vincent Arroyo and Reinhart both chipped in two tackles, including one for loss. Batavia advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 3 seed Wayne.

The junior quarterback connected with Alexander Garrow and Michael Prentice in the end zone. Dylan Vance found paydirt from two yards out on the game’s opening possession. The junior quarterback led the ground game with 122 rushing yards on 31 carries. Senior defensive lineman Devon Forrest procured 12 tackles, including three for loss and a pair of sacks. William Seymour followed up with seven tackles, including two for negative yardage. Prentice picked off a pass. Wayne advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Batavia.

Ben Teed’s 66-yard rush touchdown was the difference as Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton shut out Palmyra-Macedon for the second time this season and won the sectional quarterfinals. The senior running back commanded the trenches with 136 rushing yards and led the defense with 13 tackles. Caden Cartwright followed up with seven tackles plus a fumble recovery. Junior defensive lineman Peter Cicero produced a sack to secure the victory. Dansville/Wayland-Cohocton advances to the sectional semifinals to take on top-seeded Honeoye Falls-Lima.

Chaunsey Gilbert unloaded four rushing touchdowns as East Rochester/Gananda burst to 39-0 halftime lead and cruised in the sectional quarterfinals. The senior running back scored on runs of 60, 46, 34 and 60 yards, respectively. Gilbert exploded for 207 yards on only six carries. Michael Daniels added a rushing score in both the second and third period. The junior running back registered 102 yards on nine carries. Along with his five tackles, Nicholas Ricci hustled for a 70-yard pick-six. Hunter Groh had a team-high six tackles, including one resulting in negative yardage. Maxwell Wood had two of his three tackles go for loss. Samuel Carey and Daniels both registered a tackle for loss. East Rochester/Gananda advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 5 seed Letchworth/Warsaw/Perry.

John Panepento’s rushing touchdown was the difference in Le Roy’s sectional semifinals win. Junior linebacker Jack Tonzi led the defensive effort with 13 tackles. Tyler Strollo followed up with nine tackles and Jack Lathan chipped in six. Le Roy advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 3 seed Bath-Haverling.

Keian McRae dominated the line of scrimmage with 259 rushing yards and three touchdowns to lead Bath-Haverling in the sectional quarterfinals. The senior fullback did all his damage on 25 touches. Damien Hall led the shutout with seven tackles, including one for loss, and a 30-yard pick-six. Brock Brazie, William Clarke and Jordan Miller-Vogt all added a tackle resulting in negative yardage. Miller-Vogt added a tipped pass as well. Bath-Haverling advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Le Roy.

Connor Scott scored two touchdowns on defense and added one on offense as Oakfield-Alabama/Elba tied its season-high with 68 points – the second time the Aggies have unloaded that many points on Clyde-Savannah. The junior running back registered a pick-six, a 20-yard scoop-and-score and a 19-yard rushing touchdown. Noah Currier and Bodie Hyde both recorded a pair of touchdowns. Currier scored on both of his runs totaling 46 yards. Hyde found paydirt on one of his two scrambles and connected with Kaden Cusmano on a 20-yard touchdown. Shaun Alexander, Gaige Armbrewster and Cooper Colantonio all contributed a rushing touchdown. Junior linebacker Brayden Smith led the defense with six tackles, including one for loss, and an interception. Oakfield-Alabama/Elba advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 5 seed Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen.

Andrew Rowland accounted for all the scoring with three touchdowns to lead Avon to a shutout win in the sectional quarterfinals. The senior quarterback ran for a pair of scores on runs of 22 and nine yards, respectively, in the second quarter. Then Andrew Rowland connected with Michael Rowland on a 16-yard touchdown in the third period. Overall, Andrew Rowland compiled 161 all-purpose yards – 139 on the ground and 22 through the air. Thomas Welch commanded the trenches with 145 rushing yards on 22 carries. The senior running back led the defense with eight tackles as well. Avon advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 3 seed Alexander.

Six different players (Clayton Bezon, Mason Bump, Nick Kramer, Tyler Marino, Richard Townley and Brayden Woods) rushed for a touchdown as Alexander dominated both sides of the ball in the sectional quarterfinals. Woods led the overall offense with 128 rushing yards on 17 carries. Kramer only needed 10 carries to accumulate 91 yards. Bezon, Jacob Laney and Townley led the defense with four tackles. Kramer, Gavin Smith-Crandall and Woods all contributed a sack. Freshman defensive end Dylan Pohl recovered a fumble. Alexander advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Avon.
No. 5 CALEDONIA-MUMFORD/BYRON-BERGEN (4-5) 27

Kyle Wade slung three touchdown passes, including one to Jacob Cappotelli in the third quarter for the go-ahead score, as Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen stormed back from a 20-0 deficit. After Anthony Leach put the Raiders on the board with a five-yard score midway through the second quarter, Wade ignited the rally with two touchdown passes to Cappotelli and another to Scott Essig. Overall, Wade was 10-of-18 for 143 yards and gained 33 more on the ground. The 6-foot-2 senior led the defense with 15 tackles as well. Cappotelli was the main beneficiary of Wade with six receptions totaling 86 yards. For Bolivar-Richburg, Caden Allen, Jarrod Polk and Kadin Tompkins all rushed in a touchdown. Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen advances to the sectional semifinals to take on top-seeded Oakfield-Alabama/Elba.

Tyson Totten compiled three rushing touchdowns to lead Pembroke to the shutout victory in the sectional quarterfinals. The sophomore running back finished with 136 yards on 19 carries. Freshman running back Caleb Felski followed up with 100 yards on only seven carries and found paydirt once. Cayden Pfalzer connected with Chase Guzdek on a touchdown. Senior linebacker Peter Farrington led the defense with six tackles, including one for loss. Pfalzer followed up with four tackles and an interception. Junior defensive back Sam Pfeiffer recovered a fumble. Pembroke advances to the sectional semifinals to take on the winner of No. 7 seed Charles G. Finney/Northstar Christian vs. No. 2 seed Red Jacket.

De’marion Mewborn rushed in four touchdowns to lead Gates-Chili to the win in a game which both teams agreed to participate in if they fell in the first round of sectionals. The senior running back scored on runs of two, five, 20 and two yards, respectively. Mewborn registered two touchdowns in the first quarter, one in the second and one in the final period as well. Overall, The 5-foot-7 senior ran wild for 289 rushing yards on 35 carries – his sixth game of the season with 200-plus rushing yards. Mewborn concluded his senior season with 1,748 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns in all nine games played. Neftali Cruz, Jr. and Josiah Lane both registered a rushing score. Sophomore quarterback Jonathan Vance connected with Jeremy Tantalo on a 19-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Cruz, Jr., Joseph Garcia and Lane all recorded seven tackles to lead the defense. Lane had one tackle result in negative yardage and picked off two passes. Garcia added one and a half tackles for loss. Senior linebacker Richard Stevenson followed up with five tackles, including half a sack. Tantalo and Vance both hauled in an interception. Vance added half a sack as well. Tyrik Lamar Jones, Ashton Streber and Ill Young Winston all chipped in a tackle for loss. For Eastridge, senior quarterback Caquan Wester threw a touchdown pass to both Sherman Carson and A’mir Proctor. Senior offensive lineman Austin Diaz rushed for a touchdown.
