Jack Emo and Shawn Rose both scored a goal to lead Hornell to the win in the sectional semifinals. Rose netted his point in the first half and Emo in the second. Wyatt Argentieri and Gates Miller assisted the goals. Hornell advances to the sectional final to take on No. 3 seed Palmyra-Macedon.

Zach Musso scored two of Bath-Haverling’s three first-half goals as the Rams continued their undefeated season in the sectional semifinals. The junior attacker netted his points in the seventh and 35th minute thanks to Keefer Calkins. Logan Herrick and DJ Smith rounded out the scoring. Smith put the Rams on the board two minutes into the match while Herrick netted the team’s lone score of the second period. Senior defender Bram Pomplas assisted Smith’s goal. Bath-Haverling advances to the sectional final to take on No. 6 seed Wayland-Cohocton.

Sam Belmont’s penalty kick in the 28th minute was the difference as Williamson grinded out the victory in the sectional semifinals. Williamson advances to the sectional final to take on No. 4 seed Geneseo.

Ethan Bennett buried a pair of second half goals to lead Geneseo to the win in the sectional semifinals. Kellen O’Brien and Caleb Rice assisted the goals. Geneseo advances to the sectional final to take on No. 2 seed Williamson.

Nathan Thayer spun a hat trick plus an assist to lead Keshequa to a dominant victory in the sectional semifinals. The junior midfielder scored two of his three goals in the first half in the 11th and 30th minute before securing the hat trick in the 53rd minute. Thayer applied a helper to Ian Hinrich as well. Hinrich assisted Thayer’s first goal. Reese Powers, Sterling Strain and Avery Strobel rounded out the scoring. Powers compiled three assists, including one to Thayer. Keshequa advances to the sectional final to take on No. 6 seed Kendall.

Louis Conte’s game-winner in double overtime lifted Kendall to the win in the sectional semifinals. Junior attacker Zach Barret assisted the goal. Kendall advances to the sectional final to take on top-seeded Keshequa.

Brighton junior Maggie Cregan wasn’t supposed to play for the Bruins in the Class A1 semifinals against Churchville-Chili. After injuring an ankle in Brighton’s playoff opener against Gates, Cregan had barely practiced and coach Rita Kladstrup was hoping to avoid using her at all. But then Saints’ junior Amelia Breton changed all that. She scored two first-half goals and put Churchville up 2-0 at the break. READ MORE.

Katie Diem, Olivia Kelly and Brigid Mulholland converted penalties as Fairport advanced via penalty kicks, 3-2. Junior forward Isabella Pucci scored the Red Raiders’ lone goal in regulation in the 14th minute thanks to Erika Yancey. Mulholland contributed in goal with 20 saves as well. For Rush-Henrietta, Avery Roberts knotted the game in the 18th minute and converted a penalty kick. Senior defender Cassidy Pearce netted a penalty goal of her own. Junior goalkeeper Eva DiDomenico kept the game tied in regulation with 17 saves. Fairport advances to the sectional final to take on top-seeded Penfield.

Eight different players (Leah Boerman, Abby Conover, Alyna Hayes, Mia Hosbach, Abigail Marotta, Hannah Roegiers, Ava Schubert and Hayley Wurster) converted a penalty as Marion advanced on penalty kicks, 8-0. Senior goalkeeper Alyse Buirch kept the game scoreless with seven saves. Marion advances to the sectional final to take on the winner of top-seeded Fillmore vs. No. 4 seed Honeoye.

Nina Bartz accounted for all the scoring with two goals and a pair of assists to lead Notre Dame Batavia in the sectional semifinals. The sophomore defender scored in each half in the second and 50th minute and applied helpers to Kate Ricupito and Emma Sisson. Junior forward Autumn Mathisen assisted both of Bartz’s goals. Rebeka Nickerson only needed one save to pitch the shutout. Notre Dame Batavia advances to the sectional final to take on No. 3 seed Avoca/Prattsburgh.
