Section V Girls’ Soccer Class A1 heads to Greece Olympia for its Final Four. Three of the top four seeds remain. Here’s the breakdown:

No. 1 seed SPENCERPORT RANGERS (15-0-1/Monroe County Division II) vs. No. 4 seed OUR LADY OF MERCY MONARCHS (8-6-2/Private-Parochial Division I)

How they got here: Spencerport (No. 4 NYSSWA Class A) opened with an 8-0 win over No. 8 seed Irondequoit in the quarterfinals. Our Lady Of Mercy defeated No. 5 seed Webster Thomas, 2-1, in the quarterfinals.

Total goals scored: Spencerport (67), Our Lady Of Mercy (25)

Total goals allowed: Spencerport (4), Our Lady Of Mercy (18)

Last time they met: Spencerport defeated Our Lady Of Mercy, 1-0, in their lone meeting on October 9th.

Trends: Spencerport has pitched 12 shutouts this season. Our Lady Of Mercy has won three straight, including two via shutout.

No. 2 seed BRIGHTON BRUINS (12-5/Monroe County Division II) vs. No. 6 seed CHURCHVILLE-CHILI SAINTS (6-8-2/Monroe County Division II)

How they got here: Brighton (No. 21 NYSSWA Class A) opened with a 4-1 win over No. 7 seed Gates-Chili in the quarterfinals. Churchville-Chili defeated No. 3 seed Webster Schroeder, 1-0, in the quarterfinals.

Total goals scored: Brighton (45), Churchville-Chili (23)

Total goals allowed: Brighton (34), Churchville-Chili (25)

Last time they met: Brighton defeated Churchville-Chili, 3-1, on September 29th to sweep the season series.

Trends: Brighton’s quarterfinals victory snapped a three-game skid. Churchville-Chili has won three of its last five games – all via shutout.
