Cregan’s first marker of the game leveled the match late in the first half. The junior forward added an insurance goal 10 minutes into the second half. Pauny Khounpachamsy found the back of the net one minute into the second stanza for the game winner. Finn Cregan had two assists for the Bruins. Anna Leone added a helper. Sam Cipolla gave Gates an early advantage with her team-best sixth goal of the season. Mia Bodulovic assisted on Cipolla’s goal. Brighton’s Charlotte Tickell made six saves.

Lauren Becker contributed an assist. Athena defeated Sutherland 1-0 when the two teams met last month.

Emma Sodoma made one save for the shutout.

DeHond connected on her team-leading 15th and 16th goals in the first half for a 2-nil Rangers lead after 40 minutes of play. Aleena Solano added a second-half score. Lily Brongo contributed two assists while Jamie Keens added a helper. Cate Burns stopped six shots for the clean sheet.

“This was a huge win against a red hot Le Roy team,” Geneseo head coach Nick Drollette said. “Their place is always tough to play at and their student body brought their A-game in the cheering section. It was a sectional atmosphere. Mary Claire’s goal was about the prettiest I’ve seen in a long time and was perfectly placed from 30 yards or more. The girls really worked hard for this one and I’m super proud of how they’ve been playing.”
