Their boys played much harder than the score may suggest. We have some minor things to learn from and improve as we get ready to host Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen.”
Quote from York/Pavilion head coach Kurt Schneider: “Hats off to Oakfield-Alabama/Elba. That’s a good team that should be competing for a sectional title this year. We learned a lot tonight and know we have a lot of things we need to clean up to get to that level. All we can do is get back to the grind and take each day as an opportunity to improve, get better and go from there. There were moments when we moved the line and got a push. We just need to work on being more consistent and not shooting ourselves in the foot with costly penalties or turnovers. We’ll continue to grind and it’s on to the next one.”
