Keibert Ruiz and Daniel Palka hit two home runs each and Mike Ford homered in his Wings debut as Rochester routed Syracuse 10-2 for their fourth win in their last five games.

Ruiz and Palka went back-to-back in the first inning, giving the Wings 26 first-inning home runs, second in Minor League Baseball only to Somerset, the Yankees AA affiliate (27).

Palka extended his lead as Minor League Baseball’s active leader in multi-home run games with 21, including six in two stints with the Red Wings, hitting his team-leading 16th home run in the third inning.

Ruiz hit his second homer and third of the season with one out in the seventh. Palka followed with a double, Jake Noll was hit by a pitch before Ford, the former Yankees first baseman who was claimed off waivers by the Nationals from Tampa Bay, hit a three-run shot to right center for an 8-0 Rochester lead.

Ruiz and Palka added RBI singles in the eighth as well. Josh Rogers pitched 5-2/3 scoreless innings to earn the victory on the mound.

The teams play a doubleheader Wednesday starting at 4:35pm.
