Tyler Henshaw (Potomac State) hurled five shutout frames in a pivotal meeting between two teams in the top half of the standings. Dan Tirabassi (University of Rochester) ran his hitting streak to seven games. The pair earned the Interstate Collegiate Baseball League’s top honors for July 19-25.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK (7/19-7/25)
Tyler Henshaw, Monarchs/Potomac State
Brockport High
Henshaw struck out 11 and scattered three hits over five scoreless frames as the Monarchs defeated the then second-place Blue Jays, 6-0. The win was the first of two straight over a Jays team that had won four of five. The left-hander retired nine of the last 10 batters faced. He did not issue a walk in the outing improving his WHIP to .90 for the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK (7/19-7/25)
Dan Tirabassi, Cardinals/University of Rochester

Tirabassi collected eight hits and produced a league-high 10 runs in five games last week. The Cardinals third baseman finished 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in a 15-7 win over the Ducks. Tirabassi totaled five RBI for the week while crossing home plate five times as well. He finished the seven days with a slugging percentage of .824 and OPS of 1.324.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Jacob Parker, Monarchs/Elmira College
Cicero-North Syracuse
In three games last week, Parker finished a collective 5-for-8 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI. In nine plate appearances, the Monarchs catcher compiled an on-base percentage of .667 and OPS of 1.417.
