Boprey, Delaney earn weekly ICBL awards

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Dylan Boprey (Houghton College) made the most of his only opportunity of the week. Drew Delaney (Slippery Rock University) helped keep the Orioles in first place. The pair earned the Interstate Collegiate Baseball League’s (ICBL) Player and Pitcher of the Week (July 12-18) honors as announced by the league on Monday.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK (7/12-7/18)
Dylan Boprey, Cardinals/ Houghton College
Hilton High School
In another week in which the ICBL schedule was limited because of weather, Boprey finished 3-for-3 with a walk in the Cardinals only game. The right-handed batter collected two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in the contest. The performance was his fourth multi-hit effort of the summer.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK (7/12-7/18)
Drew Delaney, Orioles/Slippery Rock University
Victor High School
Delaney struck out 10 as part of a complete game two-hitter as the Orioles edged the second-place Blue Jays, 2-1. The right-hander faced 25 batters and retired the last 17 in order. Delaney issued one base on balls in the game and improved to 3-1 on the season. He leads the ICBL with 22 innings pitched and is tied with two others for the league lead in wins.  His 1.91 ERA is fourth among qualified pitchers.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK (7/12-7/18)
Patrick Kravitz, Monarchs/St. John Fisher College
Lackawanna High School
Kravitz finished 4-of-8 with three walks over three games last week. The right-handed batter connected on a pair of doubles and drove in three runs while scoring five more.
