Three days after establishing a program record for career hits, Justin Graham (Webster Schroeder) set the St. John Fisher baseball mark for runs scored.
Graham went 2-for-3 in Fisher’s 9-6 win on Wednesday over Alfred State including a two-out single in the fifth inning, the 226th of his career. With that base rap, Graham passed a pair of former Cardinals including Scott Eisenmenger (Hilton) who were tied with 225 career hits.
In Game 2 of Saturday’s doubleheader sweep of Houghton, Graham scored his 165th career run to establish another program.
He starred on the 2016 Webster Schroeder squad which won the Section V Class AA title and advanced to the NYSPHSAA finals. The Warriors eventually lost to a Shenendehowa (II) team which included MLB first round draft pick Ian Anderson.
Graham was named the 2019 Interstate Collegiate Baseball League (ICBL) MVP when he hit .450 and stole a league-best 17 bases.
Two years ago, his defensive play when he ran down a pop fly in foul territory earned him a spot on ESPN’s Top 10 Countdown.
