For the second time in three years, Pittsford Mendon and Brockport will meet in the Class A sectional final, Friday. Here’s the breakdown:
No. 1 seed PITTSFORD MENDON LADY VIKINGS (14-0/Monroe County Division II) vs. No. 3 seed BROCKPORT LADY BLUE DEVILS (10-3/Monroe County Division III)
Scoring offense: Pittsford Mendon (65.8 PPG), Brockport (57.7 PPG)
Scoring defense: Pittsford Mendon (39 PPG), Brockport (38.7 PPG)
Current streak: Pittsford Mendon has won 14 straight. Brockport has won eight of nine.

How they got here: Pittsford Mendon defeated No. 8 Churchville-Chili, 60-32, in the quarterfinals before downing fifth-seeded Aquinas, 59-49, in the semis.
Brockport defeated Honeoye Falls-Lima by a 60-50 score in the quarterfinals and took down Canandaigua, 45-38, in the semis.
Last time they met: Pittsford Mendon defeated Brockport, 61-36, on Valentine’s Day last season at Brockport Middle School.

History 101: This is the second time in three years both squads will meet in the sectional final. Pittsford Mendon defeated Brockport, 52-31, in the 2019 Class A championship for its third of four consecutive titles.
A 7 p.m. tip off is scheduled at Pittsford Mendon High School.
