Palmyra-Macedon and Batavia will match up in sectionals for the third consecutive year when they meet on Saturday to decide the 2021 Class B1 Girls’ Basketball Championship. Here’s the breakdown:
No. 1 seed PALMYRA-MACEDON LADY RED RAIDERS (11-3/Finger Lakes East Division) vs. No. 3 seed BATAVIA LADY BLUE DEVILS (10-4/Monroe County Division IV)

How they got here: Palmyra-Macedon defeated No. 8 Newark, 56-24, in the quarterfinals before downing fifth-seeded Livonia, 49-32, in the semis.
Batavia beat Greece Olympia by a 55-36 score and took down Midlakes, 51-50, in the semis.
Last time they met: Palmyra-Macedon defeated Batavia, 58-48, in last year’s Class B1 sectional quarterfinals.
