Top returners: Ryan Judd Sr.; Kevin Lawrenz Sr.; Matt Rennie Sr.

CANANDAIGUA BRAVES (Class A2)

Coach: Charles DeTaeye (Fourth season, 16-48 career record)
Top returners: Cody Aikey Sr. C; Derek Andrews Jr. G (8.0 PPG); Nick Ferris Jr. F (Set school single-season record for blocks last season)
Top newcomers: Bryce Ceravolo Jr. G (20 PPG on Junior Varsity); Kenyon Mahoney Jr. F; Callum Outhouse Jr. F
Outlook: “We’re a young team with only one returning senior. Juniors are experienced with three having been pulled up as sophomores. We’re very talented and becoming more of a team everyday. We’re looking to compete in every game and continue to build. We’re moving from Class A1 to Class A2 for the next two seasons.”
First game: February 9th at Greece Arcadia at 7:45 p.m.
GREECE ATHENA TROJANS (Class A2)
Last season record and finish: 10-12, lost in Class A2 sectional quarterfinals to Eastridge
Coach: Michael Setzer (Fifth season, 68-23 career record)
Top returners: Austin Brown Sr.; Kenny Freeman Sr. (All-County Second Team); Tre Jackson Jr.; Jahon Jones Jr.; James Reaves, Jr. Jr.
Top newcomers: Marco DeRubeis Jr.; Frankie Oropeza Jr.; Izaiah Stewart Jr. (Junior Varsity Most Valuable Player)
Outlook: “We lost three seniors from last season, including All-County First Team selectee DeAndre Newsome, but return many that were in the rotation last year. We have height, depth and quickness. The key for us will be winning the rebounding and transition game.”
First game: February 9th at Pittsford Sutherland at 7:45 p.m.
GREECE ARCADIA TITANS (Class A1)
Last season record and finish: 1-20, lost in first round of Class A1 sectionals to Greece Athena

Top returners: Adam Hurlbutt Sr. F; Gabriel Taylor Jr. G (All-County Second Team)
Top newcomers: Dana Bolger Jr. G; Mike Bolger Jr. G/F; Latrell Rowe Jr. F
Outlook: “Newcomers Dana Bolger, Mike Bolger and Latrell Rowe look to build on a solid Junior Varsity season to help this year’s Varsity team overcome last season’s struggles and bounce back in a shortened season. The Titans’ success will depend upon team chemistry, senior leadership and strong play from their underclassmen.”
First game: February 9th vs. Canandaigua at 7:45 p.m.

Outlook: “We’re a little smaller than we’ve been. Moorehead can still score and Jake Preisser has improved offensively quite a bit. Klenk and Smelt have been injured during the preseason and will re-acclimate this week. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to play many minutes in the games this week. Pittsford Mendon and Greece Athena should dominate our division.”
First game: February 9th vs. Greece Athena at 7:45 p.m.
