Isaiah Stewart is getting more playing time than fans expected and making the most of it. After receiving very limited preseason run and not appearing in the first two regular season games, the former McQuaid star has played in the last 10 contests.
Saturday night was Stewart’s most productive game of the season as he secured his first professional double-double in the Pistons’ 120-100 victory over the Miami Heat. The 6-foot-8 center scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-2 from the free throw line, snatched 11 boards, handed out two assists and swiped a steal in 19 minutes off the bench. Seven of Stewart’s rebounds came on the offensive glass.
