A pair of divisional rival matchups highlight the semifinal round of Section V Class AA girls’ soccer. Both contests kick off Tuesday evening. Here’s the breakdown:

No. 1 seed HILTON LADY CADETS (7-1-2/Monroe County Division I) vs. No. 5 seed RUSH-HENRIETTA LADY COMETS (5-6-0/Monroe County Division I)

How they got here: Rush-Henrietta opened sectional play with a 2-1 win over No. 4 seed Webster Schroeder in the quarterfinals.

Total goals scored: Hilton (14), Rush-Henrietta (16)

Total goals allowed: Hilton (5), Rush-Henrietta (17)

Last time they met: Brynn Sidebotham and Emma Spelman scored first-half goals to lead Hilton to a 2-nill road win on October 24th.

Trends: Hilton is looking to bounce back from its lone loss of the season. Rush-Henrietta has won three of four.

How they got here: Penfield opened sectional play with a 2-nill win over No. 7 seed Gates-Chili in the quarterfinals. Fairport beat sixth-seeded Victor, 3-1, in the quarterfinals.

Total goals scored: Penfield (17), Fairport (16)

Total goals allowed: Penfield (12), Fairport (13)

Last time they met: Penfield shut out Fairport, 2-nill, on Halloween.

Trends: Penfield has won three of four. Fairport has won three straight.
