Korey Canton (SUNY Fredonia) battled through five innings of one-run ball to lead the Flyin’ Fish to their fourth consecutive victory. The 5-foot-11 right-hander limited the damage to three hits and one walk. Canton fanned eight batters as well, including five of the last seven he faced. Tyrone Woods, Jr. (Genesee Community College) closed the game with two innings and an unearned run allowed.
Offensively, Tristian Murray (Cazenovia University) extended the lead to 4-1 with a run-scoring single in the sixth. Tyler Griggs (Central Arizona College), Dylan Mackenzie (SUNY Cortland) and Nate Sanderson (Hilbert College) each collected a base knock. Griggs and Sanderson both scored a run apiece.
For Diamond Pro Orange, Will Taylor fanned nine batters in 4 2/3 frames of relief. Aiden Stewart got the team on the scoreboard with an RBI double in the third. Wilson Brauer and Max Stuver both produced a single apiece.

After compiling nine strikeouts in relief in Game 1, Will Taylor led Diamond Pro Orange to their fourth win in five games with his bat. He knotted the game with an RBI single as part of a three-run third in which the Orange rallied from a 2-1 deficit. Taylor walked, advanced on a wild pitch and balk and scored an insurance run in the seventh inning as well.
Braden Consaul paced the offense with two singles and an RBI. Aiden Stewart singled and crossed the plate twice. Carter Clark and Max Stuver both collected a hit, an RBI and a walk. Stuver scored the game-tying run on Taylor’s hit in the third. CJ Phelps singled, walked and crossed the plate once.
On the mound, Edward Hall fanned eight hitters in 4 2/3 frames of two-hit ball. Carter Clark sent down five of the eight batters he faced, including striking out the side in the sixth inning.
For the Flyin’ Fish, Tyler Griggs (Central Arizona College) led the offense with a hit, walk, RBI and a run scored. Trevor Robinson (Tompkins Cortland Community College) and Sam Werth (Alfred State College) both went 1-of-3 at the dish.

Jagger Nucci (St. Bonaventure University) continued his shutout streak with 4 2/3 frames for the Cardinals. After surrendering a walk in the opening inning, the 6-foot-1 right-hander retired seven of the next eight batters, including six straight. Nucci struck out four hitters as well. The freshman has 14 2/3 scoreless innings in three appearances thus far.
Tim McClare (Finger Lakes Community College) paced the offense with a single and a pair of RBI. Drew Bailey (Mercyhurst University) and Frank McCabe (Hilbert College) both produced a hit and an RBI. McCabe drew a walk as well. Tyler Coy (Virginia Commonwealth University), Jackson DeJohn (St. Bonaventure) and Seth Vigneri (SUNY Cortland) all collected a hit. Vigneri crossed the plate twice and DeJohn once.
For the Orioles, Dan Bowman (Monroe Community College) and Philip Ferranti (Mercyhurst University) both went 2-of-3 at the dish. Bowman put the team on the scoreboard with an RBI single in the seventh inning. Jorge Oropeza (Finger Lakes Community College), Jack Scanlon (Washington and Jefferson University) and Aidan Wallace (Ithaca College) all collected a hit. Oropeza scored on Bowman’s single.
On the mound, Maxx Countryman (Finger Lakes Community College) hurled four innings of one-hit ball. The 6-foot right-hander retired the first six batters he faced.

CARDINALS (6-4) 4
Jackson DeJohn (St. Bonaventure University) hurled four shutout innings of one-hit ball as the Cardinals shut down the Orioles offense again for the sweep. After getting into a bases-loaded, one-out jam, the 6-foot-3 right-hander retired six straight hitters.
Evan Caufield (Keuka College) and Jake Wamser (Tompkins Cortland Community College) combined for two scoreless frames. Santino Rosso (Hofstra University) gave the Cardinals much-needed insurance with a two-run single in the fifth inning. Seth Vigneri (SUNY Cortland) went 2-of-3 at the dish and broke the scoreless tie with an RBI single in the fourth.
Joshua Ferris (Finger Lakes Community College), Tim McClare (Finger Lakes Community College) and Nicholas Nealon (Niagara County Community College) all produced a base knock in two at-bats. Ferris and McClare both scored a run as well.
For the Orioles, Sean Flannery (Monroe Community College) ignited a late rally with a two-run double. He scored on Philip Ferranti’s (Mercyhurst University) single. Overall, Ferranti went 2-of-4 at the dish. Jordan Maher (SUNY Fredonia) was 1-of-3 with a run scored. Tyler Henshaw (Brockport High School) fanned seven batters in four innings.
