DP Orange sent nine to the plate in a six-run first on the way to their straight win including two in a row over the Blue Jays. Aiden Stewart (McQuaid), Wilson Brauer (McQuaid) and Jack Zawacki (Pittsford Sutherland) strung together consecutive singles to load the bases with no outs. Stewart came into score on a passed ball. Brauer crossed home on a Braden Consaul a sacrifice fly. One out later, Keegan Cummings (Pittsford Sutherland) delivered a two-run single plating Nick Ianniello (Penfield) and Zawacki. Cummings came around to score off a single by Will Taylor (McQuaid). The inning was capped when Taylor scored off an error pushing the lead to 6-1 after the first inning.
DP added two more runs in the fifth inning to go up 8-1. Max Stuver (McQuaid) threw five innings limiting the Blue Jays to one hit. The right-hander struck out four and only allowed one earned run during his work on the mound. Carter Clark (Hilton) and Edward Hall (McQuaid) threw a scoreless inning apiece. Ianniello finished the game 2-for-2 scoring a run, Cummings got one hit on the night but scored once and drove in two. Patrick Bigham (Fredonia) drove in both of the Blue Jays runs in the game. Bigham collected two of the Blue Jays’ three hits in the game. Amaury Samalot (Alfred State) had the other hit. With the win, DP matched the Snow Cats for the most wins in the ICBL.

The Monarchs scored seven runs in the second inning and held on to win for the sixth time in the past seven games. Christian Montanez (RWU) started the frame with a walk before Justin Lotemple (Alfred State) singled. Nick Serce (Alfred State), Lucas Sulimowicz, Bobby Sellers (Alfred State), and Andrew Sanchez (Mercyhurst) drove in a run apiece and then came around to score. Montanez plated Ray Specht (Niagara County CC) with a triple in the fifth and eventually scored on a wild pitch. The Monarchs added two insurance runs in the sixth inning when Sanchez crossed the plate on on a fielder’s choice and Gavin Moore (Alfred State) scored on an error. Moore and Specht both grabbed two hits in the game. Jared Drake fanned five over two scoreless innings of relief to pick up his second win of the season. After starting the season 0-2, the Monarchs grabbed a half-game lead in the ICBL East Division.
Sean Flannery (Monroe CC) paced a late Orioles push that came up just short in the bottom of the seventh. Flannery finished 3-for-3 with three RBI in the game. He drove in two with a single in a four-run seventh. Jon Catapano (Grand Valley State) drew a bases-loaded walk to score the first run of the inning. Jack Scanlon (Washington Jefferson) came home on a wild pitch, and then Flannery plated Phil Ferranti (Mercyhurst) and Catapano with a single. Flannery raised his average to a league-leading .526. Ferranti went 1-for-2 with two walks on the night driving in one run and scoring three.
