Girls Class A action continues Tuesday night with semi-final matchups taking place at Eastridge High School. Here’s the breakdown:

No. 1 IRONDEQUOIT EAGLES (18-3/Monroe County Division II) vs. No. 6 CANANDAIGUA BRAVES (15-7/Monroe County Division II)

When: Tuesday, March 3 at 8:00 p.m.

Where: Eastridge High School

Last time they met: Irondequoit swept Canandaigua during league play. The Eagles won 68-43 at Canandaigua on January 27 and 72-50 at Irondequoit to close out regular season play on February 18.

How they match up: Irondequoit has won five straight, after a loss broke an 11-game win streak. The Eagles average 59.9 points per game and allow 47. Canandaigua has won seven of its last eight. The Braves average 50.2 points, while allowing 42.95.

Players to watch for Irondequoit: Alahna Paige Sr. G 29.19 PPG, 3.7 APG; Leah Memmott Jr. G 9.2 PPG; Morgan Nicholas Sr. F/G 7.7 PPG, 6.1 RPG; Amiyah Nunn So. G 5.4 PPG

Canandaigua: Mya Herman Fr. G 9.4 PPG; Abbey Herod So. G 7.9 PPG; Maddie Ryan Sr. G 7.1 PPG; Sydney Miller Sr. F 5.3 PPG

Coaches: Scott Smith (Irondequoit), Michael Brennan (Canandaigua)

What’s at stake: The winner will advance to the Class A finals to face the winner of Pittsford Mendon and East. The finals are scheduled for Friday, March 6 at 6:00 p.m. at Gates-Chili High School.

No. 2 PITTSFORD MENDON VIKINGS (19-3/Monroe County Division III) vs. No. 6 EAST EAGLES (12-10/RCAC)

When: Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Eastridge High School

When they last met: Mendon defeated East 45-30 in December. Mendon’s Katie Bischoping and Lexi Green combined for 28 points in the victory, overcoming East’s Shariona Blocker’s 17-point game.

How they match up: Mendon has won ten straight. The Vikings average 65.2 points per game and hold opponents to an average of 38.2 points per game. East has won four in a row. They average 55.3 points per game and allow 45.9.

What’s at stake: The winner will face the winner of Irondequoit vs. Canandaigua in the Class A finals on Friday, March 6.
