Ryan Lucey finished with 26 points and nine rebounds to lead nine-seed Fairport (11-10) to a 54-48 win at eight-seed Aquinas in the opening round of Section V’s Class AA postseason. The Red Raiders picked up another 17 points from Lucey’s fellow senior, Max Molisani, along with seven from senior guard Jack Lindstrom. Kobe Long’s 12 fourth-quarter points helped McQuaid pull away from Webster Schroeder and advance to the quarterfinals. Long finished the game with a team-high 26 points. Darren Blocker and Jermaine Taggart were the only other Knights in double figures with 19 and 14 points, respectively. Keith Warren came within a bucket of double digits with his nine-point effort. Joe Cairns (2) and Jordan Brongo (1) also contributed for McQuaid. Webster Schroeder’s offense was led by JoJo Plummer and Luke Insley. Plummer netted 14 points and Insley pitched in 10. Ben Carey scored nine points for the Warriors, while James Knox and Nick Hauman had seven apiece. Ethan Fame (4) and Evan Ferrari (2) added to Webster Schroeder’s offensive effort. Andrew Mason scored half of his 20 points in the third quarter to lead Webster Thomas into the quarterfinals. The Titans won the third quarter 24-11. Mason knocked down four threes in the contest. Dannie Palmer led Webster Thomas in scoring with 21 points, including five makes from behind the arc. Jackson Kulik’s 13 points provided the Titans with some secondary scoring. Tyler Williams (6), Nick Annechino (5) and Aristo Visca (1) also scored for Webster Thomas. Tahjir King scored 15 points to pace Franklin’s offense. Teriq Johnson had 13 points and Jaylin Jordan contributed 10 for the Quakers. Gary Simms’ nine points and Kentonio Kelly’s four rounded out Franklin’s scoring. Kobe McCray scored all eight of his points for Gates-Chili in the final quarter as the Spartans turned a four-point deficit after three quarters into a seven-point victory. Adam Williams also scored six points in the final frame and had 13 for the game. Devin Walton and Spencer Glenn both scored 14 points to lead Gates-Chili. Mitchell Harris also contributed nine points. Terrace Walker Jr. and Mair Morrison both scored two points to round out the Spartans’ scoring. RJ Wilkins scored 17 of his team-high 21 points for Penfield in the first half. Dyllon Scott picked up for Wilkins in the second half with 11 points over that time. Scott finished with 17. RJ Green added nine points for the Patriots. Ryan Wensley (4), Matt Gable (2) and Ty Salmon (2) also scored for Penfield. Gates-Chili advances to face No. 2 University Prep on Friday.

Three different players scored in double figures for Edison Tech as the Inventors moved on. Nahjhime Kirton led the way with 16 points and Torrean Lewis added 14. Mike Morgan contributed 12 points and knocked down Edison Tech’s only two threes of the game. Edgar Bass IV (5) and Shaheem Ellis Jr. (4) also scored for the Inventors. TahJae Hill did all he could for Hilton, scoring 21 of his team’s 46 points. Jason Story helped Hill out by scoring 10 points of his own. Preston Prince added six points and Ryan Kurtz netted five. Nick Graziano (2), Najier Daniels (1) and Colin Burkis (1) rounded out the Cadets’ scoring. Edison Tech’s next game is at No. 3 Rush Henrietta on Friday.

Sodus won the second and third quarters 21-13 and the Spartans held on in the fourth to advance to the quarterfinals. John Molisani led Sodus with 17 points, 15 of which came in the first and fourth quarters. Molisani buried three threes. Tatdem Frisbie notched eight points for the Spartans and Jaiuan Ortiz had five. Marquese Burton (4), Rayquan Baldwin (4), Amanti Jones (2) and Marcelus Burton (2) also scored for Sodus. Justin Hendrickson and Blake Driskell scored 10 points apiece for Addison. Gage Ames and John Stierly each had five points for the Knights, while Trevor Knapp contributed four points and Mike Benjamin had three. Sodus moves on to face No. 2 Marcus Whitman on Friday.

In addition to his high scoring output, Martinez also had seven assists, eight steals and four rebounds. Stephen Somers added 10 points and five boards for Mount Morris, while Kody Mosher also had 10 points. Rowen Gross (4), Joe Pagano (4) and Justin Kemp (4) also found the scorebook for the Blue Devils. Pagano pitched in eight rebounds. Mount Morris advances to face No. 1 Avoca on Friday.

Reynolds completed the double-double with 10 boards and Alex Jarosinski pitched in five steals and four assists. Dom Trippi also had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Jarosinski (8), Logan Thomas (4) and Zach Hass (1) rounded out the Bulldogs’ scoring. Derek Edick’s 23-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist triple-double kept Kendall in the game. Dale Steffen also contributed 18 points and 11 boards for the Eagles. Zach Barrett scored eight points for Kendall, while Nick Spellan, Braxton Zarpentine and Mason Kuhn all had four. Honeoye advances to face No. 4 Fillmore on Friday.

Jeremiah Bermudez (3), Jaymine Bermudez (3), Juan Bermudez (3), Darnell Smith (2), Eddy Bermudez (2) and Sheltier Cox-Matos (1) also scored for Eugenio Maria. Zak Davis and Christopher Becker both scored 12 points to lead Hammondsport. Davis buried two threes in the game. Ian McDonald added 10 points for the Lakers. Michael Beam (6) and CJ Hill (4) rounded out the scoring for Hammondsport. Eugenio Maria will face No. 2 Genesee Valley on Friday.
