ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Adonis Flagler shouldered the offensive load for the NE Douglass Panthers in their 72-56 road win over Monroe, Tuesday night. The senior forward exploded for a career-high 47 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and a blocked shot.
Here’s a basket-by-basket breakdown of Flagler’s career night.
Points 1 and 2: Flagler powered to the rim for a contact layup on the first possession of the game.
Points 3, 4 and 5: Flagler pulled up and drained a rainbow three-pointer from the top of the key.
Points 6 and 7: After settling for a pair of missed three-pointers, Flagler bullied his way to the cup for an easy layup.
Point 8: Free throw. Good.
Points 9 and 10: Flagler sized up his defender and passed to Jason Jones. Flagler slashed to the hoop, received a bounce pass from Jones and finished.

“I knew I had to make sure to work on my ball-handling,” Flagler said after Tuesday’s game. “Knowing that the ball was going to be in my hands a lot more this year without Jiahmere Mitchell graduating and a lot of other guards last year graduating.”
“When he’s put into a position where the ball is in his hands every single possession and we’re asking him to make things happen, he did,” NE Douglass head coach Kyle Crandall said. “Today was one of those days where you got someone who’s got a hot hand like that, you let him keep going.”
