After a big Opening Night game against Canandaigua, Shawny Baker look poised to have a strong season for Victor (NYSSWA No. 25 Class A). However, a nagging ankle injury forced him to miss three contests and leave during the second quarter of a game against Webster Thomas. The Aquinas Li’l Irish (No. 13 NYSSWA Class AA) needed only 13 plays from scrimmage to put 30 points on the scoreboard and scored on their first five possessions Friday night. Tyler Szalkowski threw for 251 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Will Benjamin and Manny Russell accounted for 232 yards from scrimmage and 26 points in the Li’l Irish’s sixth straight win. READ MORE.

East (NYSSWA No. 23 Class A) concluded the season with a convincing win at home led by Freddie Brock who had six carries for 106 yards with two touchdowns. Anthony Gilbert completed 4-for-6 passing for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Sykes paced the defense with 13 tackles.

Notre Dame-Batavia (NYSSWA No. 5 Class D) scored 32 points in the first half and cruised to an undefeated season. Quarterback Gabe Macdonald had 11 rushes for 49 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and 7-for-10 for 213 yards and a passing touchdown. On defense he had eight tackles and a pick. Jedidiah Reese had 20 rushes for 118 yards and a score with seven tackles. Tony Zambito had two receptions for 93 yards and three tackles and an interception on defense. Mark Sanders had a rush for five yards, two catches for 86 yards and a touchdown with four tackles and a pick. Jayson Reinhart had two catches for 17 yards and a tackle. Dylan Warner had a catch for 17 yards and a sack. Mason Randall recorded seven tackles with one for loss and a sack. Connor McWilliams had five tackles, two for loss of yards and a sack and Dalton Hamm added a sack. Notre Dame had 393 yards of total offense and held Alexander (NYSSWA No. 3 Class D) to just 124 yards.

After giving up the first score of the game, Caledonia Mumford/Byron Bergen scored 28 unanswered points to win its final game of the regular season. Bryce Yockel had 34 carries for 276 yards rushing and scored all four touchdowns. Avon’s Nick Rowland led the Braves with 13 carries for 91 yards and a rushing touchdown as well as a passing touchdown to Jeremey Grovnaz in the first quarter.

Penn Yan scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime but were unable to come away with the victory. Dansville’s Bryce Quibell had a team-high 122 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown. Ryan Carnevale had 24 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown. Evan Pruonto had four carries for 77 yards and Tanner Dettman added eight carries for 18 yards and two touchdowns. Quibell added 2 receptions for 44 yards and Drew Morrow had two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Tanner Dettman went 4-for-8 for 62 yards with a touchdown pass. Ryan Carnevale returned a kickoff return 82 yards for a touchdown. John Wilkinson led the defense with 19 tackles. Shane Crandall had 14 tackles with an interception and Billy Barrett added 14 tackles.

ER/Gananda scored 42 unanswered points before Bath-Haverling scored in the fourth quarter. Dion Mather compiled three touchdown passes going 5-for-9 for 76 yards. TJ Swagler had a two touchdown night with 170 yards on 13 carries. Christian Clarcq added 14 carries for 140 yards and a touchdown run. Jerry Brongo caught both of his passed for touchdowns and had 36 yards. Sean Flanagan added the other touchdown reception and had three catches for 40 yards. Brayden Hess scored the only Bath-Haverling touchdown with a 41-yard run. He finished with seven carries for 68 yards. Cordell Galvan added 16 carries for 52 yards.

Running back Mason Ferrara paced the Honeoye Falls-Lima offense with 22 carries for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Turner Wilson finished 11-for-18 for 180 yards and two touchdowns to Pat Lustyk and Mitch Slymon.

Attica (NYSSWA No. 12 Class C) completed the undefeated season on the road. Jacob Gross carried the Blue Devils with 15 carries for 102 yards and a score, a touchdown catch for 34 yards and a 27-yard field goal. Jeremiah Donohue had 15 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown. Zachary Strzelec added 14 carries for 90 yards and three catches for 53 yards. Jake Dressel went 5-for-5 for 66 yards and had a touchdown pass. On defense, Lucas Krawczyk led the team with eight tackles. Lucas Johnson and Zack Friedhaber added seven tackles and one for a loss.

Letchworth/Warsaw (NYSSWA No. 17 Class C) was led by multiple players who all put points on the board. Brett Vasile went 4-for-5 through the air for 88 yards and a touchdown as well as eight carries for 28 yards and a touchdown. Austin Williams went 2-for-5 through the air for 10 yards and a touchdown. Kolby Vanslyke rushed for 53 yards on 11 carries and had a score. Austin Williams added three carries for 20 yards and a score. Vanslyke and Aaron Miller each caught a touchdown pass. Wellsville’s only score came in the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass from Alex Perkins to Ethen Stoll. Stoll finished with three catches for 55 yards. Liam McKinley led the passing offense going 5-for-12 for 53 yards. On the ground Eagan Enkehad nine carries for 69 yards and Blake Beckwith 14 carries for 51 yards.

Mynderse/South Seneca pick up its first win of the season. They scored all 20 of their points in the first half. Matt Kenyon scored two twice on 14 carries for 71 yards. Nick Cambareri had five carries for 36 yards and Thomas Santana added 10 carries for 31 yards. In the air quarterback Kaleb Stenquist went 3-for-5 with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Larizza. Jared King added two catches for 28 yards. Chris Cratsley led the team with six tackles and Santana had 5.5. For Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield, Justin Smith scored the only touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter. He finished with 11 carries for 35 yards and two catches for 10 yards. Kyle Valastro had seven carries for 28 yards with three catches for 47 yards and Chad Smith had seven carries for 23 yards. Ethan DeCarlo added three catches for 27 yards. Smith led the defense with 13.5 tackles and Austin Smith had six.
