ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Cameron Webb paced Webster Thomas to a trio of victories and a top ten spot in New York State. Shane McMillan helped Penfield stay undefeated. Dylan Kladstrup delivered when Pittsford Sutherland needed him, and Jacob Landro paced Greece Olympia’s offense. The four earned Monroe County Players of the Week (September 9-15) for their respective divisions.

Webb anchored a defense which held opponents to two goals in three wins last week, and helped the offense as well to earn Monroe County Division II Player of the Week (POTW). Coming off a 2-nil victory over Canandaigua to start the week, Webb tallied twice and assisted on another marker in the Titans’ 4-1 win over Irondequoit. Thomas closed the week and improved to 4-0-1 on the season with a 4-1 win over Gates-Chili to climb into the NYSSWA Class AA poll at No. 7.

McMillan was named Division I POTW. The sophomore forward delivered the game winner to lead Penfield over reigning Class AA champion Hilton, 2-nil. He followed that with a hat trick in the Patriots’ 4-0 triumph over Webster Schroeder. With the wins, Penfield opened the season 4-0-1 and appeared at No. 11 in the NYSSWA Class AA poll.

Kladstrup collected three goals and an assist in three Sutherland wins to garner Division III POTW. The junior midfielder delivered the golden goal in the Knights’ 1-nil win over reigning NYS Class A semifinalist Brighton to start the week. Kladstrup converted a penalty kick in a 2-1 road win at Greece Arcadia. To close the week, he scored and assisted in a 3-1 win over Sweet Home (VI). Sutherland improved to 5-0-0 with the wins and came in at No. 5 on the NYSSWA Class A poll.

Landro was named Division IV Player of the Week finishing with four goals and two assists in two games. The senior attacker netted a hat trick in Olympia’s 5-3 loss to Honeoye Falls-Lima. He followed that with a goal and two assists (including the game-winning pass) in the Spartans’ 3-2 win over Batavia.
