MONARCHS 6
The Monarchs scored in five of six innings and held off a late Wings’ rally to snap a five-game losing streak. Dylan Broderick and Jeff Wilson both went 2-for-2 at the dish. Broderick drew a pair of walks and scored a run. Wilson had an RBI and a walk. William Porter (Rochester Institute of Technology) drove in two runs – both on groundouts. Tyler Broderick (Keuka College) was 1-for-3 at the plate. Thomas Amuso (Rochester Institute of Technology) singled and scored a run.

Quin Ignaszak (Finger Lakes Community College) earned the victory with four innings of two-run ball. The sophomore right-hander allowed two hits, one walk and struck out a batter. Marty Williams came in relief in the seventh and retired three straight batters to end the game.

For the Wings, Stephen Edgett (St. John Fisher College) launched a two-run triple to right field in the seventh and drove in Justin Graham and Thomas Pasquale. Ryan Hill (Monroe Community College) cracked a double to left center and scored on a sacrifice fly in the fourth.

Colin Coykendall (Monroe Community College) connected for a base knock and drew a walk. Cooper Crunick (SUNY Binghamton) hurled four innings of three-run ball and struck out three batters.

FLYIN’ FISH 1
LAKE MONSTERS 2 (8 INNINGS)
Jared Signorelli (Elmira College) reached on a throwing error, allowing Logan Martella-Tasick (Monroe Community College) to score the game-winning run for the Lake Monsters. With a runner on first and nobody out, Martella-Tasick hustled to first base and broke up a double play before advancing to second on a bunt by Andrew Wallman (Hilbert College). Michael Jamele (Merrimack College) collected a pair of infield singles in three at-bats from the leadoff spot. Evan Newkirk (Castleton University) connected for a hit, drew a walk and scored on a groundout from AJ Nestler (Finger Lakes Community College) in the second. Dylan Hillabush (SUNY Brockport) hurled a complete game on 98 pitches. The sophomore left-hander allowed four hits, one walk and struck out six batters. After giving up back-to-back baserunners in the opening frame, Hillabush retired 15 of the next 17 hitters he faced.

For the Flyin’ Fish, Cody Cooper (Slippery Rock University) beat out an infield single to third, scoring Ray Specht (Niagara County Community College) in the sixth.

Hayden Ewell (Southern New Hampshire University) went 1-for-3 at the plate. Donovan Moffat (St. Bonaventure University) hurled seven innings of one-run ball on 94 pitches. The senior southpaw allowed four hits, one walk and fanned nine batters. Moffat retired eight consecutive hitters between the third and sixth innings as well.
