LAKE MONSTERS 10
WINGS 4
Erik Gauer (Gordon) led the Lake Monsters offense by going 4-for-4 with three RBI. Two of his four hits were triples and he also scored three runs.
Gauer was not alone in producing big offensive numbers for the Lake Monsters, as many of their hitters that were lower in the order contributed in a big way. Nicolas Fiore (SUNY Fredonia), Evan Newkirk (Castleton), AJ Nestler (Finger Lakes CC), Ryan Ballard (Tompkins Cortland CC) and Kole Brink (SUNY Fredonia) all notched two hits in the contest and manned the 6-10 slots in the lineup. Fiore and Brink each knocked in two runs while Nestler plated one. The only other extra-base hit on the day came from Nate Sanderson (Hilbert), who finished the day 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
