Rain washed out the Rochester Red Wings on Sunday afternoon after 3 1/2 innings had been played at Frontier Field.

The game will resume on July 30, when Scranton/Wilkes-Barre comes back to town. The regularly scheduled game on July 30 will follow and will be seven innings.

The RailRiders will have a 4-1 lead with the Red Wings coming to bat in the bottom of the fourth.

Jake Cave hit a solo home run for the Red Wings in the first inning off Chance Adams, but Tyler Austin‘s three-run blast off Dietrich Enns, his former SWB teammate, in the third put the RailRiders ahead 3-1.

The Red Wings (35-36) play the next four nights in Syracuse before coming home to play three games against Lehigh Valley on the weekend. They’ll then head to Rhode Island to play Pawtucket on July 2-3 before coming home to play the PawSox on July 4 (7:05 p.m.) and July 5 (5:05 p.m.).
