FLYIN’ FISH 2
Jonathan Catapano (Monroe CC) and Nate Chase (Grand Valley State) both homered, and Jourdan Plaisted (Elmira College) paced a 13-hit attack as the Lake Show jumped to an early lead and put the game away in the sixth. Catapano led the game with a solo shot. Chase connected on a two-out solo shot in the third to give the Monsters a 5-1 lead. Plaisted 3-for-4 with a bases-clearing double in the second and a run-scoring single in the seventh.

Zach Harter highlighted a four-run sixth with a double that plated Colin Coykendall (Monroe CC) and Brennen Smith (Monroe CC). Billy Sanborn (Jefferson CC) followed with a triple, and the Monsters led 9-2. Logan Martella-Tasick (Monroe CC) tripled and scored a run. Ryan Green (Tulane) allowed one run on three hits over four innings for the win.

The right-hander struck out nine and walked three for his first win. Matt Dessena (St. John Fisher) gave up one run on four hits over three innings. Sanborn hurled two shutout frames.

Sanborn went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Dan Bamann (Keuka College) went 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Flyin’ Fish. Shane Hake (Elmira College) singled and scored a run.

Jake Hewitt (St. John Fisher) scattered three hits over four shutout innings in his first appearance of the summer, and the Lake Show (8-5) completed the sweep. Hewitt fanned six and walked two for the win. The right-hander threw 66 pitches (43 for strikes). Jourdan Plaisted (Elmira College) continued his hot hitting going 2-for-2 with a run scored. Brennen Smith (Monroe CC) homered. David Stirpe (Messiah College) drove in a pair and scored twice.
