Top-seeded Clyde-Savannah takes on No. 6 seed Honeoye in D1 final

What: Section V Class D1 final

Who: No. 1 seed CLYDE-SAVANNAH (19-4/Wayne County) vs. No. 6 seed HONEOYE (14-9/Finger Lakes West).

When: Saturday, March 3rd 4PM

Where: Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester Community War Memorial

How they got here: Clyde-Savannah beat No. 17 Kendall, 84-47 in the opening round before defeating No. 8 Fillmore, 96-34 and No. 5 Mt. Morris, 71-57.

Honeoye started sectionals with a win over No. 11 Bolivar-Richburg, 77-36, then beat No. 3 Genesee Valley, 74-66 before handling No. 10 Naples, 70-53.

Players to Watch for Clyde-Savannah: Marcus Chance Jr. Sr G 26.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.0 apg and 3.5 spg, Derrick Chance Sr. G 20.5 ppg, 7.0 apg, 4.0 spg, Dru Carnevale Sr. G/F 19.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 5.0 apg and 4.0 apg and Camden Chance 8.3 ppg, 9.5 rpg and 3.5 spg Fr. F.

Players to Watch for Honeoye: John Marble Sr. G 25 ppg, Jon Viera Sr. G 12 ppg and Max Yale Sr. G 22 ppg.

Coaches: Trevor Gage (Honeoye) and Tim Jackson (Clyde-Savannah).

Winner will play the Prattsburgh-Bradford winner in the Class D regional qualifier.
