Fairport survived the opening rounds and remained as the only top four seed among Class AA teams. The Red Raiders will need to avenge an earlier loss if the reigning champions are to reach the finals for a fifth straight year. Here is the 2018 Section V Class AA semi-final breakdown:
No. 1 FAIRPORT (16-5/Monroe County Division I) vs. No. 5 MCQUAID (14-8/RCAC Division A) 8:15 PM Blue Cross Arena
How they got here: Andrew Bartlett connected five times behind the 3-point arc and finished with 20 points as Fairport held off No. 9 seed Edison Tech, 72-58 in the quarter-finals.
McQuaid opened with an 84-58 win over No. 12 seed Victor before outlasting No. 13 Webster Schroeder, 72-58 in a game which Anthony Iglesia scored 27 points.
Last time they met: Iglesia led three in double figures with 17 points including five in overtime as McQuaid downed Fairport, 68-59.
Players to Watch for Fairport: Andrew Bartlett Sr. G 12.7 ppg, Brett Heininger Jr. G 8.0 ppg, Jackson Sullivan Sr. F 11.6 ppg.
McQuaid: Anthony Iglesia Sr. G 13.4 ppg, Kobe Long So. G 13.8 ppg and Jermaine Taggart So. G 17.4 ppg.

No. 6 seed UPREP (13-9/Independent) vs. No. 7 seed HILTON (11-11/Monroe County Division I) 6:30 PM Blue Cross Arena
Last time they met: Tuesday’s contest will be the first between the two schools this season.
How they got here: Elroy Clark finished with a game-high 25 points as UPrep opened with a 64-46 win over Churchville-Chili. Jakhi Lucas scored 31 to pace an 82-76 UPrep victory over Gates-Chili.
Tah-Jae Hill scored 11 of his team-high 26 points in the fourth quarter to pace Hilton’s 61-57 win over No. 2 seed Rush-Henrietta. Hill scored 10 of his game-high 20 in the first quarter as Hilton opened with a 53-23 victory over No. 10 Penfield.
Players to Watch for UPrep: Elroy Clark Sr. G 13.0 ppg, Jahki Lucas Jr. G 19.0 ppg and Zach Harris Scott So. F 8.0 ppg.
