Alton Knight led five in double figures and netted 10 of his game-high 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Edison Tech Inventors defeated the Monroe Redjackets, 82-71 in RCAC Division A action Thursday night.
Knight scored the last eight points as Edison (5-8/3-4) won for the third time in four games.
Marquan Anderson registered a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The senior guard highlighted a 9-2 Edison Tech run that started with the last possession of the third quarter.
After Dylon Foster gave the Inventors a 59-55 lead with a tap-in to end the third, Anderson opened the fourth with a traditional 3-point play and followed two possessions later with a drive and bucket. Ryziere Wilson converted on a baseline inbound play for a 66-57 Edison lead. Foster pushed the advantage to double digits at 70-60 when he hit a floater in the lane.
Foster finished with 12 points. Wilson added 10. Tristian Flowers scored 10 to go with five blocks.
Monroe’s Jo-Nathan Jones scored four of his 10 points late in the third to pull the Redjackets within two. The junior got ahead of the defense for a layup and then grabbed a loose ball before going the length of the floor to cut the Edison lead to two at 57-55.
Chris Gibson, Jr. and Devante Mateo paced Monroe (8-5/5-2) with 14 points apiece. Jonathan Jones scored 12. Giovanniel Santiago had 11 and Tyquil Glasgow 10.

Taylor Clements scored nine of his 12 points during the third quarter when Newark double-digit advantage. Clements connected once behind the 3-point arc and connected on three other field goals as Newark outscored Geneva 16-6 in the stanza. Clements finished with 15 rebounds. Jayden Peters hit four 3-pointers and led Newark with 14 points. Terry Anglin added 12 points. Marcel Greene-DeSouza had five points. Logan Moynihan chipped in four. Alex Caraballo and Mason VanDeMortel had three apiece. Akim Hudson led Geneva with 15 points. Nick Askin had 11. Tyrese Evans scored seven. Liam Ryan and Reid Patchett had four apiece.

Adam Chilson led four in double figures with 20 points, and Addison improved to 12-2 on the season. Nick Solinas had 13 points and eight rebounds. Evan McIlwain collected 11 points, seven steals and five assists.. Danny Ames chipped in with 10. John Stierly had six points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
