Eric Carter scored 17 points, and Justin Johnson added 15 but Aquinas could not hold off the Gaelic Knights. Tyler Warner grabbed 10 rebounds, and the Li’l Irish outrebounded Bishop Ludden 35-33. Joe Connor and Sh’ikem Lee combined for 16 points during the third quarter when Ludden outscored Aquinas 22-6 to take a 15-point lead into the final eight minutes. Connor finished with a game-high 24 points. Lee and Nic Button added 15 points apiece for the visitors. Ludden converted 25 of 36 free throws. Aquinas went 18 of 27 from the line. Warner scored nine points for Aquinas. Danny Speed and Ruben Torres finished with eight apiece for the Li’l Irish. Jack Scanlon added five points, and Luke Putnam had three.

NAPLES — Naples’ Evan Bay hit six 3-pointers en route to 21 points to lead Naples to a 64-61 win over HAC Tuesday night in Finger Lakes West Action. After a run by HAC — spurred by 10 points by Zitong Jin — put the Wolves up 44-34 midway though the third quarter, Bay caught fire scoring 11 points including three 3-pointers to put the Green Machine up 47-46 late in the quarter. HAC extended the lead to 50-47 at the end of the period on a putback by Ryan Hilton. The fourth quarter was nip and tuck as the teams battled back and forth. Naples’ Nick Clearman then took his turn at scoring in the final period as hit eight points to counter Hilton who dominated inside scoring nine points in the final stanza. Naples made one of two free throws to go up 63-61 with 17 seconds left. HAC advanced the ball to midcourt and called time out, setting up a final play. Hilton’s give and go to Xavier Israel was poked away by Nick Green as he went up for the tying layup with :04 seconds left, essentially sealing the Naples victory. For HAC (5-3, 2-3) Ryan Hilton finished with 23 points and 17 rebounds to go along with four blocks, Jin hit a career-high 17 points, and Israel finished with 12 points. For Naples, Bay finished with 21 points and Clearman and Ben Chaffer had 14 points each. HAC outrebounded Naples (4-3, 6-3) 32-15.
