The ECHL All-Star Game will be played in Indianapolis but it will have a very Greece, N.Y., feel to it.
Former Greece residents Phil Lane and Woody Hudson have been selected to play in the Jan. 15 game.
Lane, 25, is tied for second in goals in the ECHL with 18. He has produced 18 goals, 11 assists and 29 points in 30 games for the Atlanta Gladiators.
The former Greece Athena/Odyssey forward is in his sixth pro season and will represent the South Division.
Hudson, 25, is an ECHL rookie. The former McQuaid player completed his four-year career at St. Lawrence University last year. Hudson has scored 11 goals but doesn’t have an assist for the Worcester Railers in the North Division. Lane’s younger brother, Matt, also plays for Worcester (1-3-4 in 20 games).
The 1 PM puck drop will be televised on the NHL Network.
