HAC 44
SOUTH SENECA 54
OVID — Charlie Van Ness — all 6-foot-6 of him–buried three 3-pointers and a lock-down defense paced the South Seneca Falcons to a convincing 55-44 win over HAC Tuesday night in Finger Lakes West action. South Seneca (3-3, 3-4) pressured the NYSSWA 16th-state ranked Wolves (2-2, 5-2) relentlessly all night, and snapped its three-game winning streak. The Falcons denied high-scoring Xavier Israel and limited him to just 13 points. After trailing at halftime 27-20, the Wolves cut the lead to three at 36-33 midway through the third period thanks in part to seven points from Rob Dorsey, but the Falcons did not relinquish the lead and that was as close as the Wolves could get the remainder of the game.
