Section V Roundup: Smith paces SOTA; Carnavale pours in 30 for Clyde-Savannah

BATH HAVERLING 41
Reggie Smith scored 17 of game-high 23 points in the second half as SOTA erased a 12-8 deficit after the first quarter. Smith hit two 3-pointers and led three in double figures for the Silverhawks (5-5). Ethain Clarke DeSouza added 20 points, and Joe Denegal had 11 for SOTA. Markese Bellamy chipped in seven and Jamari Hills five. Stephan Ordway and Blake Hess scored 12 apiece for Bath-Haverling. Derrick Ferguson added six. Ethan Buckley added three points for the Rams.

Dru Carnavale hit four 3-pointers and finished with 30 points to lead Clyde-Savannah. Carnavale added seven rebounds and three steals. Marcus Chance also connected four times behind the arc and added 18 points for the Golden Eagles. Derrick Chance had 23 points and five assists. Cam Chance contributed seven points, seven rebounds and five steals. Pat Marchitell scored three points for Clyde and Nicholas had two.

Andrew Bartlett hit five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points, and Brett Heininger added 12 for Fairport which trailed by five at halftime. Vanzell Johnson scored six points, and Anthony Pappano chipped in with five. Andre Starks and Ryan Lucey scored two apiece. Shenendehowa hit 20 of 25 free throws for the game. Fairport finished 20 of 28 from the stripe.

Chaz Washington paced East with 20 points. Jordan Randolph added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles.

Danny Ames hit six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 36 points, but it was not enough for Addison to overcome 20-3 deficit after the first quarter. Ames paced a fourth-quarter comeback with three 3s and 14 points as Addison outscored O-M 27-18. Adam Chilson added 11 points. Nick Solinas scored eight. Nick Sutryk and Shawn Ribble had three apiece. Evan McIlwain chipped in two points. Curtis Harris led O-M with 26 points. Ames had eight rebounds and three steals for Addison.
