Rochester, NY – Playing in their first game in 10 days, Nazareth showed no signs of rust with a 3-0 victory over St. John Fisher on Wednesday in Empire 8 action at Golden Flyer Stadium.

The Golden Flyers, winners of three straight conference games, improve to 9-4-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.  Fisher falls to 4-11-1 and 1-4-1, respectively.

Nazareth established the better of play from the get-go.  Paige Sullivan had three shots within the first 15 minutes of the contest, including hitting the post in the 11th minute off a cross.

Nazareth, which generated a plethora of shots early, broke through on an unassisted goal from Laura Herman in the 24thminute.  The senior dribbled down the center of the field, slotting a shot into the right corner for a 1-0 lead.

Later in the half, Samantha Sansone crossed a ball from the right flank to a wide-open Mary LoCicero in the middle of the pitch, who calmly put it into the net for a 2-0 advantage.

Nazareth had a large disparity in shots for the first half, holding a 19-2 advantage.

After a slower second half for both teams, freshman Kristen Prohaska scored her first collegiate goal in the 75th minute.  Prohaska played a nice give-and-go with Miranda Timberlake, before Prohaska beat the Fisher goalkeeper to the far post.

Hannah Miller made three saves in net for her sixth shutout of the season.

The Golden Flyers will travel to Houghton on Saturday for a 4 p.m. start.
