ROME — Brandon Cornelius went 2-for-4 including a run-scoring single to jumpstart their offense as the Salt Cats took game one of a doubleheader. Cory Krolikowski finished with four hits. Dan Greaves went five innings allowing four runs on seven hits. The right-hander fanned three and picked up his fifth won of the season. Evan Delaney finished with two hits for the Generals including a two-run home run in the seventh.

ROME — Brandon Cornelius finished with three hits and four RBI including a triple in the ninth that plated three as the Salt Cats won their ninth straight. Alexander Ferlenda went 3-for-4 including a run-scoring double in the second. Patrick Maybach tossed seven innings allowing two runs on four hits and retired twelve batters in a row. The left-hander set down seven on strikes and picked up his third win of the season.

CORTLAND — Joey Assenza recorded a walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth that plated Dylan Ketch as the Crush snapped a three-game losing streak. Josh Reuter scored in the ninth to tie the game at five after an error was committed by Kyle Bouchard. Reliever Jake Kinney pitched three innings allowing one run on one hit. The right-hander fanned four and picked up the win.

Sherrill Silversmiths (20-20) 10
SHERRILL — Michael Wroth went 4-for-5 with seven RBI including a solo home run in the second to jumpstart the Sherrill offense. Wroth added another home run in the fifth as the Silversmiths moved up to .500. Justin Stromski finished with two hits. Mitch Cavanagh tossed five innings allowing four runs on five hits. The right-hander fanned one and picked up his third win of the season.

OLEAN — Kirby McMullen finished with two hits and three RBI including a two-out single in the third that plated two as the Oilers have won seven of their last ten games. Jimmy Webb and Allen Murphy each finished with two hits apiece. Cameron Weinberger went seven and a third innings allowing four runs on eight hits. The right-hander set down four on strikes and picked up the win. Brian Pulli pitched the ninth and picked up his sixth save of the season.

HORNELL — Sam Mang finished with two hits and six RBI including a grand slam in the sixth as the Dodgers won their seventh straight game. Connor Bailey went 2-for-4 including a triple in the eighth that plated two as the Dodgers tacked on seven runs. Reliever Maddux Minton (Livonia) went four innings allowing two runs on three hits. The right-hander fanned four and picked up his fourth win of the season.
