AMSTERDAM, NY– Freshman Anthony Gonnella (University of South Florida) and junior Liam Wilson (Canisius College) combined for five hits and 11 RBI as the Mohawks captured game one of the doubleheader. Sophomore Thomas Lane (Boston College) threw five innings for the Mohawks, allowing two runs on eight hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Sophomore James Varela (Long Island University-Post) exited after two-and-one-third innings, giving up 12 runs (nine earned) on 10 hits and three strikeouts with two strikeouts.

AMSTERDAM, NY– Freshman Eric Rivera (Florida Atlantic University) knocked in two runs for the Mohawks, who have won five straight. Freshman Morgan McSweeney (Wake Forest University) tossed four innings and let up one unearned run on four hits and three walks, striking out six. Sophomore Ty Phelps (Gannon University) walked seven and surrendered four runs and one hit with four strikeouts in four innings.

LITTLE FALLS, NY– Juniors Dan Deely (Sacramento State) and Austin Pollack (Hofstra University), as well as sophomore Tim Zeng (Fairfield College), each plated two runs for the DiamondDawgs, handing the Blue Sox a second straight loss. Junior Joe DeSarro (Southern New Hampshire University) held the Blue Sox to one run on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts in six innings. Sophomore Mitch Calandra (Eckerd College) hit a grand slam in his lone at-bat of the game for the Blue Sox. Freshman Michael Rogers (Ashland University) left the game without recording an out, allowing three runs, one hit and two walks.

ONEONTA, NY– Junior Gage Lanning (Canisius College) went 3-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored to lead the Flames, as one of five Flames players to drive in two or more runs. Sophomore Matt Carey (Ithaca College/Webster Thomas) scored a run for the Flames. Freshman Justin Beyer (Niagara Community College) provided five scoreless innings, giving up five hits and two walks, striking out one. Freshman Jake Hershman (Wofford College) pitched four innings with seven runs, seven hits and two walks allowed with four punch outs.

SAUGERTIES, NY– Incoming freshman Tyler Kelder brought home two runs for the Stallions, who have won four straight games. Freshman John Clayton (Albany University) fanned seven and let up three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings. Sophomore Bret Huebner (Furman University) drove in two runs for the Trail Blazers. Junior Kyle Cashman (Pace University) surrendered five runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks, setting down three by strikeout in six innings.

JAMESTOWN, NY– Redshirt junior Christ Conley (Canisius College) knocked in three runs on two hits in the Jammers’ win, giving the Pilots three straight losses. Sophomore Quinn Taylor (Felician University) gave the Jammers five innings of three runs, four hits and four walks given up, and struck out four. Junior Adam Donovan (DeSales University) let up six runs (five earned) on five hits and six walks, adding one strikeout in five innings.

ELMIRA, NY– Sophomore Andy Reed (Elmira College/Fairport) started for the Red Wings and kept the Pioneers scoreless with three hits allowed and four punch outs in the Red Wings’ third consecutive win. Freshman Conor Grammes (Xavier University) led the Pioneers with two RBI. Redshirt freshman Parker Ford (Mississippi State) made it four innings, letting up four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
