ROCHESTER — Rommy Morel connected on a two-out bases-clearing triple in the ninth and scored on an error as Wellsville came back to win their second straight game. Kevin Higgins got the Nitros offense going in the fourth with an RBI double. Joseph Mallory went six and a third innings allowing three runs on four hits and fanned five. Reliever Garrett Gagnon pitched two and two-third innings allowing one run on four hits and fanned one to pick up his first win of the season.

ROCHESTER — Joshua Parks went 3-for-4 with six RBI including a two-out double in the second that plated three as the Ridgemen snapped a six-game losing streak. Dylan Brister went six and two-third innings allowing three runs on four hits. The right-hander fanned six to pick up his first win of the season.

Syracuse Spartans (8-5) 12
SYRACUSE — Jay Perry went 4-for-5 with five RBI including a two-run home run in the sixth as the Spartans stayed a game behind Cortland in the Eastern Division. Jack Paulson got the Spartans offense going with a solo home run off the first pitch from Kaden Darrow. Reliever Zach Soder went four and a third innings allowing no runs on three hits. The left-hander fanned one to pick up his first win of the season.

CORTLAND — David White went 2-for-5 with three RBI including a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth as the Crush won their fourth straight. Tyler Schmidt went 2-for-3 including a single in the second that plated two. TJ Wegmann, Dylan Ketch, and Charles Edwards each had two hits apiece. Joshua Goldstein went 3-for-5 including a solo home run in the sixth for the Silversmiths.

GENESEE — Matt Mulhearn took a perfect game into the seventh and went the distance allowing one run on two hits as the Dodgers won for the seventh time in their last eight games. The right-hander fanned five and retired the first 19 he faced. Jack Brett went 3-for-5 with three RBI including a single in the first that plated two. Colin Johnson went 2-for-5 including a solo home run in the top of the eighth. In 2008, the Brockport Riverbats PJ Saporito threw the only known perfect game in NYCBL.
