ROME — Jacob Yish finished 3-for-4 including a RBI single in the first. Luke McDonald went 2-for-4 including a two-out double in the sixth as the Generals snapped the Silversmiths three-game winning streak. John Michael Bertrand struck out five and allowed two run on six hit over eight innings for the win.

WELLSVILLE — Christopher Testa finished 3-for-3 including two doubles. Ryan Kosmynka went 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Nitros snapped Cortland’s two-game winning streak. Tom Saffioti went for four innings allowing just one run on one hit and struck out three batters. Heath Brownley picked up his second win of the season as went for an inning and a third retiring all four batters he faced. Max Larimore recorded his first save of the season.
Syracuse Spartans (1-3) 4
Syracuse Salt Cats (3-2) 0
SYRACUSE — Lucas Gregory fanned five in a complete game 3-hit shutout to lead the Spartans to their first victory of the season. The left-hander faced three over the minimum and retired 10 straight from the fourth through the seventh to lower his ERA to 0.64 over two appearances. Hunter Tralli collected three hits in four trips to the plate including a home run in the sixth. The Spartan third baseman also drove in a run with a single in the eighth.

GENESEE — Connor Bailey and Chris Cerniglia had a pair of hits apiece. Michael Young hit a solo shot in the sixth, and the Dodgers remained undefeated on the season. Bailey drove in a pair of runs including an RBI single in the first to give the Dodgers an early lead. Keaton Conner struck out seven and allowed two runs on two hit over six innings. Jared Kapturasky struck out the side in order in the ninth to notch his second save of the season.
